Yeah, like this is where he got the idea to make him rebuild himself after self destructing, because he realized it could come in handy one day as a trick.
@@briansilva3344, actually the movie was already in production at the time these shorts were made. A teaser trailer had already been released, with a scene similar to this short, except Goddard rebuilds himself as usual when exploding. (They most likely had the "I can fix that" ending here due to the shorts usually ending with Jimmy getting into some kind of pickle.)
Jimmy Neutron and SpongeBob was Nick's only hope... Now all their hope is on SpongeBob so please don't dump your fans, Nick! Now our only hope is on SpongeBob since our little genius friend is gone...
Or they could've had Goddard rebuild himself the way he normally does when playing dead. But then these shorts are supposed to end with something Jimmy does going wrong, and then it'd be even more like the teaser trailer this short is partly based off of.
@@ZakWolf What an odd teaser trailer dude, first off all the clips from the shorts have an early design for jimmy, second of all the hypno beam scene is like a bizarro version of ultralord versus the squirrels (with nick?) and lastly the trailer doesnt use a single second of footage that was used in the movie
@@goopyhead Yeah, the actual movie was still in the animation stages at the time. So they instead used a few clips from the "Runaway Rocketboy" pilot and some prototype versions of clips from the shorts they were making at the time.
I saw all of these when I was young, and I believe that this one was actually the first one I saw. The next one I saw was Carl Squared. The third one I saw was Hyper Corn. The fourth one I saw was Sea Minus. The fifth one I saw was Cookie Time. The sixth one I saw was Ultralord Versus the Squirrels. The last one I saw was of course, Pain, Pain, Go Away.
I first saw these shorts like 4 months before the movie was released in theaters. Intact I use to have a poster of the movie because at that time my sister worked at local theater. Don't know what happened to the poster
Cool animation! It really shows Our generations’ entertainment. Crazy to think Jimmy Neutron Once ruled the airwaves! My, my, do I feel old! Everything’s the same now, but Let me be clear: Our generation had some of the Neatest cartoons out there.
New3DSLUIGI364 Or gave Goddard his own Spin-off Animated series with him as the main protagonist and Roxy the Alien Dog as the durteragonist and Goddard's love interest to me Planet Sheen wasn't that great although I wouldn't have minded a Jimmy Neutron Spin-off Animated series with Goddard as the main protagonist he's my favorite Jimmy Neutron Character. I like Goddard and I like Goddard x Roxy. I also like Jimmy x Cindy too. And even gave Goddard his own speaking voice too.
Katelyn Bodiford I wouldn't mind a Goddard spin-off series considering how underused he was save for one episode, although I think it would have been better if Humphry was more of the deuteragonist, just to give it a little buddy comedy feel to it, and maybe have Roxy appear later.
It was a pilot short. A proof of concept before the movie was made. Equivalent to one of the Fairly OddParents' "Oh Yeah!" shorts, where not everything about the franchise was set in stone yet.
