Another thing you can do with the pilot bearing is to just stick a screwdriver through the dust cover on the front and pop it off, and then just lay a weld bead in between the outer and inner race over the top of the ball bearings After you clean out the lubricant with brake clean, and when the weld cools it will contract and shrink, and the bearing should just pull out by hand.

Slide the front yoke in fully to trans, measure from center of unjoint to center of ujoint them minus roughly 1" and that's your driveshaft measurement at ride height

It's just funny how Sammit looks like a Lass standig in the Garage next tae the Lads working on her car next tae Jimmy and Grant. ye know what's easier than the weld and slide hammer? fill the Pilot bushing in with grease tae full and a clutch center pin whack it with a hammer and it will fall out, since grease is afluid it will go in the tightest spot. If the drive shaft is 3 in short get a spacerplate made that is just a quick Lathe job.

"how much" longer? you can put on a space in the back. easy to get a spacer made then a new shaft. should not be TO long tho. you migth even find some of the shelf. i have seen 40-50mm spacers. i have only used 3-5mm spacers on the driveshafts on smal open wheel cars (formel cars)
