I accidently ran into Jimmy in front of an art museum this summer! Now I'm on a roll listening to interviews with the man. He noticed that I recognized him and said hello without me even doing anything. Never ever would I have dared to approach him myself. I am really thankful that I got the chance to talk with him for a while, he is such a knowledgeable man and obviously very interested in visual art and young artists in that field as well. He even allowed me to show him some of my work on my phone and gave honest feedback! A true gem
Such a generous spirit! The best guitarist but always feeling the need to share equally with his band members and even chose who would be powerful enough to challenge his position of sound focus at all times during a song. Genius
47:11 minutes in, , Page "We were having a good time" and ya know he had some SERIOUS good times. They have always fascinated me. Led zeppelin aren't pompous, an actually are very humble. They're extremely well spoken and by all rights should most definitely be British Royalty! 💯
I agree they should all be Knighted.. Robert Plant was knighted in 2009. In 2005 Jimmy was awarded with a OBE (order of the British Empire) now it's Sir Robert to you Jimmy haha
@@rickjohnson3580 I think Robert was OBE as well. I was just thinking the other day, why do some of greatest British rock stars get knighted snd others don’t? Ringo snd Paul are. But is Brian May? David Gilmore? Roger Waters would probably turn it down. Come to think of it, Robert might as well. He eschews such things and would just as soon share a pint at the village pub

This was great . like you, I can't get enough of the behind the scenes look into my all time favorite band Led Zeppelin. although I have seen it before. but watching it a second time ,you always get so much more out of it. Jimmy and the gang WERE my inspiration getting through my early teen years. Pagey's and Bonzo's playing induced my willing to get through Marine Corps boot camp in 1983, because during difficult periods of training, I'd have a Zeppelin tune sounding within my mind, along with visions of my ex, Gloria. I truly enjoyed watching this interview, again. I can never tire of it. I can honestly say that musicians of all genres inspire someone, but the quartet of Led Zeppelin inspires generations of people. Stay blessed and rock on, Wayne!!!

I have this book and the newest one. I was kissed by the Rock God's because we called 3 minutes of the 2nd book being released. Jimmy Page signed 2500 copies of both books and he signed 2500 copies of the remake of the guitar that Jeff Beck gave him. I was actually beyond blessed and like the formation of this band. I called within that split second of time and snagged The limited edition and gorgeous book with his authentication with it and got book 2401 for $1200 for my Birthday. My fingers have never touched the pages nor have I read this book, I've only looked at it a few times to stare at his signature before it was put back into hiding. Unfortunately someone selfish almost stole it from me by breaking into my room for the sole purpose of stealing my book. They were actually close enough from taking it that they stole the packaging that it came in. I had put it somewhere else a few days before and that's the reason I still have my bestest treasure of my life. It is now secure properly because I plan on having it placed with me when I pass on.. it's so hard not to be able to just kiss his signature but I want it pristine. I did but a copy of the shelf to read and not I have both of them... this is my favorite interview with Jimmy and I've watched it many times and I watched again just now. This interview feels like your in the same room talking with him. So charming and I can also listen to him all day as well.. thank you for showing it..
Damn, this was great. He may not be the best guitarist or the best producer or the best engineer, but he is head and shoulders above the rest as my favorite. And yes STB I totally agree that he is an extraordinary visionary and a creative genius.
