In 1998, my 17-year-old Daughter borrowed my car, since Hers was in the shop. When She came home, She looked at me in disgust and said sarcastically, “Thanks a lot, Dad!” I said, “For what? What did I do?” She said, “You had your CD player on with “Gallows Pole” from the “No Quarter” album playing when I started your car. I must have played it ten times!” My Daughter has been a Led Zeppelin fan ever since!👍🏻😉😀
Saw this tour in London with my best pal. Was so blown away we went back the next night and bought tout tickets outside about 5 mins after the show started for next to nothing-we got right to the very front. What a night.
That bass is ON POINT!!! When it kicks in at 1:27 this goes to ANOTHER level. This is a helluva version and the musicianship has to be seen to be believed.

What is an amazing song both here and on the album by my favorite part of this performance is the drummer. That guy just has all the energy in the world and he shows it.

Seems like (almost) every drummer that filled in for Bonzo either met tragedy or suffered in decline later on. You can guess who they are, with the exception of his son.
Great version actuality had just about all the instruments from the original but missing a big part john Paul Jones. They ignore that man too much. Multi instruments song writing most people just forget about him. Everyone just disrespects that man
