When I heard that Denny was fined, I just shook my head. NASCAR really blew that one pretty well. All Denny did was say it was just a work in progress. I side with Denny...glad he didn't pay that pointless fine
Denny got fined for saying nothing bad. Tony didnt get fined for making fun of the car and goodyear and kyle didnt for saying it sucked. makes since. Not
To be fair with the second Tony Stewart comment, he wasn't complaining about the cars, he was shooting back at the fans who were claiming that NASCAR was boring without wrecks, so that was a bad example for them to use, but you're still right.
Jimmy nascar doesn't care about what the sport was built on, they don't care for the fans..etc etc.. Nascar is a joke. I'm happy I got to see it in its prime.. now it needs to be laid to rest
The most baffling thing to me of all of 2:12. Robin Pemberton was the crew chief for Rusty Wallace in the 1990s until the end of 2001. Wallace, one of the most outspoken drivers in the garage at the time. Guess Pemberton showed his true colors once he had authority in the sport itself...
AGREED! Denny said nothing bad and got fined for it? Kyle Busch can flat out say the CoT sucks and Tony can rip Goodyear every other race and they DON'T get fined?! Not only that, Brad Keselowski never got fined for cussing out NASCAR after that Texas race in 2013.
This is why there are no sell out at races anymore. And the commentators are salesmen for Nascar and they won't speak their own minds. Great job Nascrap!!
@@supremeleadergnkdroid3202 No it's actually because of crappy fans like you that are brain dead and will buy Nascar tickets no matter how bad the racing and the politics get.
Shame on the NASCAR! This is very dangerous! His remarks were spot on. Who ever made the decision to fine him should be fined for trying violate his 1st amendment rights! This makes my blood boil! His comments were totally accurate and acceptable to any reasonable person.
I mean... Berwick Pennsylvania is a small town of 10,349 so... yes? As for politics, I remember when the pastor at Nashville gave that famous prayer in 2011, he would not talk about it even after a fan asked him. He said he wouldn't touch the "3 R's on TV: Race, Religion, and Politics".
Isn't it what life is about? You find something to be challenging , you work on it to make it better? Yes, it's a work in progress. Yes, you should be able to say it. Yes, its called freedom of speech. He didn't bite the hand that feeds him eirher. Not a fan of Hamlin, but he was spot on..well done sir👍
He's got an excellent point about Denny's issue, though. And I hate Hamlin. Still, he's got some unfortunate luck that I wish didn't happen to him. This incident, injured in a crash, and now can't string together wins to make the chase. It's not the way I wanted to see the #11 fall.
This is the absolute hell we had to deal with during the Brian France era. The most 'quintessential' moment in his reign was when he got caught being a drug addict and a drunk! I have criticisms for Steve Phelps but at least his administration is TRYING (and failing at some...) things.
Stewart did get fined later for speaking out on lug nut problems later - then NASCAR adopted his criticism that leads us to these lug nut penalties we have today (which will be gone in '22 in Cup due to switch to single lug).
Nascar has joined the cancel culture the new car is a pos now ,I have mixed feelings on this car ,Denny didn't say the new car is a piece of Sh!t it's a work in progress. this sucks silencing the drivers the fans want the truth as to where the car is. FU nascar
Nascar you have gone to far. With this new car and the changes you have made, you won't be happy until you kill a driver and realize you are making some wrong decisions. Your destroying the sport
Nascar has got to the point of being like the progressive democrats - totally banana brains - and that's why I stopped watching Nascar. Yes, the cars and the rules SUCK.
