I got to meet General Stewart at Basic Training Graduation back in October 1981 at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas. He was a Pure Gentleman.

My favourite is Its a Wonderful Life I watch it every year it makes me both happy and sad in the most profound way. Its tied to all of my great memories of Christmas and it makes me long for times gone by when things were simple and innocent.

I was a child, a student at a Convent School in Pakistan, when I and my friends became James's huge fans and staunch admirers! I always watch at Christmas time it’s a wonderful life . Bringing back actor James Stewart to my T.V. Set . I get sad watching the film because a lot the story line has happen to people in real life . And Angel’s coming to the recuse . I had an experience with a angel in my life . This is true , I don’t make things up . The movie should be given at Christmas time . Frank Capra movie’s were all good .

My favorite is Philadelphia Story, great cast, and Harvey, Rear Window, oh and... Love it when he was on Johnny Carson, as a child I thought his stammer was interesting, but in his films he didn't have one.

A MOST WONDERFUL LIFE WAS THE BEST AS HE WAS. WE LEARNED SOOO MUCH DEOM HIM IN RHAR MOCIE. IT WAS BEYOND WORDS TOO EXPRESS HOW GREAT IT WAS FOR ALL. MY UNDEESTANDING IS THAT AT FIRST THE ACTORS GUILD? OR WHOMEVER MAKE THE DECISIONS DID NOT THINK THE FIILM WOULD MAKE IT BUT THEN IT BECAME A REAL FAVORITE!!

My favorite James Stewart movie is "Rear Window"

Jimmy Stewart was the original every-man. I heard he decided to take the role of George Bailey after reading the part where George is contemplating suicide. It was right after the war and the idea of playing a character in a dark place appealed to him. He was a genuine patriot and while I enjoyed his early films like Mr. Smith and It's a Wonderful Life I also am a fan of his westerns. The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance and Fire Creek are two of my favorite westerns. He was on the total opposite end of the political spectrum as Henry Fonda but I heard an interview from one of his daughters where she said the subject never came up between them. She said they were best of friends and would spend hours in the basement, putting models together and not really saying much that didn't relate to that effort and that she never heard them argue about anything. They don't make em like Jimmy anymore. Can you imagine any celebrity today gaining weight in order to serve in the military? If anything, they'd gain weight to try and avoid service. RIP Jimmy, from one fellow airman to another.
