For anyone trying to pick up mishsimas, wave dash is just forward, quarter circle forward. you cancel every quarter circle with forward over and over again. And electric is just old school DP or the Z motion. You press 2 on the down forward portion of your "DP". To be more precise the very moment you move down into forward you should be simultaneously pressing the 2 button. I promise it is a lot easier to do than what you probably think.
Wind God Fist is a DP. EWGF is a dumb muscle memory check for people that have practiced it for days. 1 frame windows are ridiculous in this day and age.
Me watching the opening to this after watching all the Victor videos where Max gets people out with the teleport slash: Well well well, how the turns have tabled
I always refer to myself as a fraudulent Mishima, but dude, Jin's just too darn fun! I can barely wavedash, but only on the left side and I cannot for the life of me do consistent electrics. However, I refuse to not use the character just because I play him like an amateur.
I kinda disagree with Jin's Heat Mode sucking but I'll chalk it up to Max not really having the time to experiment with it much since he's not a huge Jin main in T8 anyway. But his Heat state is actually really versatile outside of the universal options, the 4 option off his Heat Burst allows him to reset to neutral where he thrives or make him +15 at the wall, and Omen stance mixups at the wall are still insanely nutty, add things like chip damage and Heat Dash off of things like FF2 and 1+2 and he's got tons of ways to use it.
i started playing tekken 8 cause of you, and ive been maining yoshimitsu cause he looked very cool and i havent had this amount of fun in a fighting game in a long time.
Seriously Tekken has some of the best fighting game music I’ve ever heard in my life. What’s the name of the song at around 13 minutes when the azucena match starts?
I think it’s safe to say myself and a lot of people brought this game watching creators like you play👏👍 it’s intense and motivating to get better or even to that level 💪
@@VerGiLL1 Lots of his best tools are easily steppable to the right and his negativa mixup can be backdashed from all but one set-up iirc. While he isn't trash, he doesn't seem to be crazy.
Blitz people with 1,3,4 1,3,4 1,2,3, to ,3,1,4 mix up fast strings. For Zen: 3,1,F and 4,2,F and 4+F,F. Don't forget Zen 1,2 after 1 press DF for break step into a hell sweep, wind fist or strait up launcher.
Can confirm at the end. Im a Yoshi at Tenryu and still barely react or try to block lows. I will low parry eventually in a set if I eat the same low several times
I just got t8 and decided to mess around with jin. I don’t plan for him to be one of my mains but I’ll definitely use him as I get my fundamentals down in tekken 8
Them adding stuff that kinda pulls Jin away from the playstyle of other Mishimas is actually cool flavor, too, cause it shows how disconnected he wants to be from his family's lineage. Namely from Kazuya.
I hit mighty ruler with Jin as a new player to the game. It was kind of hard but I’m slowly getting him down and I’ll be sure to hit fujin with enough practice
From my experience in playing Jin is that BandCo went out of their way to make Jin accessible in 8 and reverse course from his iteration in 7. With the jab range fixed, easier lows that aren't as impactful as before, and "Meme Stance" you don't even have to Wave-U-Wave-U or hit the electrics to play him well. You can just play a solid, fundamental poke and punish game to go rather far with him. Now when you CAN do all the Mishima stuff is when he gets outright oppressive and why people are shouting that he's problematic top tier that has everything.
As a jin main i agree lol. Im not gonna act like he's low tier because that's not the case jin is strong. But sometimes i feel like i gotta work x3 as hard as my opponent to get the win.
