Yeah man that scream gave me chills. Imagine if they could have superimposed the black wolf over her in that moment. Would have been thematically powerful.
The song reveals Tatiana’s struggle with anxiety stemming from the pressure she feels writing the lyrics and melodies for the band. They present her with finished music, and it’s her job to give them titles, melodies and lyrics. Can you imagine the pressure? I mean.. listen to that music! Anyway, in the video the actual band is physically pursuing her - representing their hounding her to get the lyrics done. Her procrastination and retreat to her safe zone, her other forms of art, are featured. Her protestations are portrayed by the uzis, and the bullets just bounce off. It isn’t until she finally hurls her art - the sand (lyrics) at the band that they actually stop hounding her and go away.
@@ToDaMaxxx I think both are true, but specifically these lyrics: “I never asked to be here, I hated that from the beginning: turning mole hills into mountains, I feel the pressure building.” Are a clear statement that she never wanted to be the one bearing sole responsibility for writing the lyrics and melodies. She likens the task of turning her simple words into a big hit record as “turning mole hills into mountains”. She suffers from performance anxiety, and has repeatedly expressed this fear of failure - which is why she never performs the high belting part at the end of Pisces in concert. She instead growls that part. It’s a shame, ‘cause I think she could nail it every time.
For Tati to put herself out there like she does through the lyrics and vocals is amazing! That second scream is just mind boggling! I get shivers everytime! Best metal band out there right now!
White Wolf, Black Wolf: A Cherokee Story Inside you lives a wolf of white- of patience, peace and love. He is forgiveness, hope and light; a blessing from above. This wolf of white the world will see through all the good he brings to thee. _____This wolf of white, _____this wolf of white, his gifts will set your spirit free. A wolf of black, as dark as night lives next to him inside. He’s hatred, rage, cruelty, fright, intolerance and pride. This wolf of black the world will see through evil actions, evil deeds. _____This wolf of black, _____this wolf of black, his teeth will make your spirit bleed. Within your soul, the two wolves fight to see which one will give directions and will win the right to show you how to live. Which one will win the fight? We need to pay attention; pay close heed! _____Which one will win? _____Which one will win depends upon which one we feed.
Black & white joke on point haha! This song is amazing. Might be one of my favs of them. Album is crazy heavy, definitely need more listens to wrap your head around that as well.
I've been a musician for 40 years and I ask myself, why do you always have to make comparisons to other bands> Jinjer is Jinjer and they make Jinjer music, of course, like everyone, influenced by the whole of life ... get involved more with Jinjer music, let it work with fewer interruptions and then there is still enough time to react to what has just been seen and heard, how else would you get involved in such an emotional song ... greetings from germany and stay safe
It's not necessarily an actual comparison, sometimes you just hear something in a song that makes you think of another band you like and it makes a connection... which isn't the same as a comparison. I don't compare Jinjer to anybody, they're unique, but I got what they meant by the Tool feel at the start. Personally, after those first 2 screams, during the chase scene, I felt a bit of a Deftones vibe as well. They don't sound anything like Deftones but that section had a familiar feel that brought them to mind.
This is amazing and hitting me right in the feels- literally sitting here balling my eyes out right now. You guys need to check the lyrics & I think you’ll relate totally then. Relating both literally & metaphorically so much to this right now. F#%^*😓
I immediately thought Tool as well lol I absolutely love this song. The whole album is 🔥🔥🔥🖤 I see the video as being her peace is in that box and the outside (the band) is trying to get in and destroy it. Roughly lol It’s basically an introverts anthem 🖤
I dont usually comment on stuff, but I work away from aus on boats and its really sick what you guys are doing on the channel its like hanging out with a few mates checking out music and its just fucking sick. Cheers boys 🤙
I noticed that the more this song goes on the song the more I love it for the aspects that I liked less at the first listen. p.s. when I heard the bass I thought about Johnny, obviously.
I literally take notes watching you guys. This drummer is sick as shit. Also-per black/white section, The Boy with the Red Balloon is a great silent film. I feel like she writes the lyrics/the guitars write w her and they just rip on with it Side note: CHECK OUT ELDER "III" I would kill for that reaction.
I recommend Bury Me ft Howard Jones by Violent New Breed and Unaware by Annisokay. Be great if you could do a reaction video to one, or both, of these, but if not, I hope you both like them enough to add them to your playlists. 🤘🏻
hey gents. would recommend aviana - rage. absolute ripper of a track and it only came out a couple days ago. keep doing what you’re doing. nsw lockdown is rough, especially living in one of the restricted LGAs so i appreciate the good vibes!!
With so much imagery in the video to process it’s hard to appreciate the song itself on the first listen. Try listening through without the video. Although I appreciate the lyrics and different tone on this track, it’s not one of my favorite on the album (at least at this point). I recommend Copycat
@nathandjohnny Sarcasm...like it! Love hearing opinions. I'm just saying it's hard when you stop it so much to get the flow of songs, especially proggy type music. Alot rewind it a bit when restarting to try and pick up the flow. Artists sweat over music as a full piece. They don't record it with a stop every 30 seconds which is how you're listening to it for the 1st time which isn't great is it. Anyway..was just constructive criticism but feel free to keep the sarcasm up..love it.😁
