Very cool man. As someone who never really paid much attention to bass in songs before, your playing has made me appreciate the art of bass playing and I find myself going back and listening to old favourites with a new ear.

Jinjer has one of the only bassists in metal I know of who seems to follow the drums more than the guitar It's honestly a breath of fresh air and fits Jinjer's style especially well

I thought this was just my favourite Jinjer song but when I went to see them live everyone was waiting for Perennial haha. This style of playthrough with just the drums supporting the bass is great, you can hear every note clearly!

Agreed! Eugene takes the lead for this part of the song, and Roman drops back to a very basic rhythm guitar line. Later as this section builds, Eugene switches to a more simple bass line and Roman takes over the lead on guitar. The transition is seamless! This entire band is amazing.

One quarter of the reason Jinjer is so good is Tatiana's amazing vocals. This video is a prime example of another 'one quarter' of why they are so great! (Thank you Eugene) Seriously overall, I don't believe in 'fate' but I've not seen a band that meshes so well as the current 4 members of Jinjer. They were meant to play together!

I think I've discovered a key to playing like Eugene: play as many notes as possible with the first finger of your left hand. Slide as much as necessary to make that happen. Which is a lot.

Fucking awesome. There's always that one song that cuts the knife edge of a band's genesis and gives its sound more soul than anything else. I feel like Perennial is a defining speartip of Jinjer's progression as a band. And this bass puts the gut into it. Love it man. Eugene, you are a rising monolith in the fields of bass. So great.
