To be honest yes I found them slightly too tight, I only went with those to replicate what Roman likes to use. In my opinion you would get a better tone and playability with say 12-64s, I must try those someday but for now I'm back to 9-46 hybrids.

@@Airtrooper719 I use the same 9-46 hybrids for standard/drop D. Nice to have a tight bottom end. Better to use a 27-28” scale for A, but it looks like this worked well enough!

@@LemonMeIon Definately recommend the larger scale necks for these tunings. But for me as a small handed player I struggle with stretches as it is even on 25.5" so I stick with this scale 😄

@@Airtrooper719 That’s precisely the reason I’m building one. All of the production models’ bridges aren’t set back far enough. They’re just slapping longer necks on normal guitar bodies. Compare bass bodies where the bridge is almost flush with the far edge of the body making the 34” scale a much easier reach.

@@LemonMeIon I would be very interested in hearing back about that when you've finished it, I always wondered if it would be possible to create shorter necks that can retain the snappy tone and perfect intonation of a longer scale.

About 3 hours per song to figure out the notes and then a couple of playthroughs to practice all the riffs together as a full song, but I had listened to the album on repeat for nearly a month before so I didnt need to think too hard about the rhythm/timings.
