9:42 That style of metal where the music consists of only one note but a complex rythm instead of one rythm but complex notes is called Djent. The adjective to describe this last section of the song is djenty or chuggy.

I still would like to see you do a double feature of “Dreadful Moments”. It’s a really technical and dark song. It’s the only song on Micro you haven’t done.

I get the “not quite vibing” with it. I said the same. But it has grown to be my favourite track on this album, tied with “Beggars Dance”.

Weirdly, the songs I was initially "meh" about often turn out to be favorites. Then again, the songs I’ve loved from the start don’t diminish either. It’s all good, I appreciate the variety and inventiveness of this band. She’s getting better over time too, which is why I often prefer new(ish) live performances.

It's Jinjer time and the double feature. Like I've said before this band is special. I've been watching jinjer reactions all pandemic. You have a great reaction channel and I'm enjoying your journey through the jinjer rabbit hole . Bad water should be done no growing and a groveir melodic feel and yes I have had to listen to all of their songs a few times and I like some more than others. It also depends on how good the audio is as to wether I am more into it. There's no bad song just some sound isues. But not everyone is as forgiving as I am. You can't accomplish greatness with out breaking a few eggs.lol

Good you checked this one out. It shows another 5 level change/coordination with that timing oddity near the end. Not like Tool, but even Pantera does some of those that are hard to notice. "5 Minutes Alone" has one that's hard to play(guitar) just for timing. Jinjer has quite a few changes that they all know in each song. Quite impressive. I don't know how far back in time your familiar music goes, but I can probably request good older stuff.

I think the drums are something different from the recorded version, i really enjoy this drummer A LOT more

I needed 3 - 4 times to listen to this song, before it vibed with me and now I'm loving it. This song grows in your ears and in your mind.

Not me I will always be open to other people and suggest that they don't give up on a band for a bad sound track. Try another and if you still don't like it then it's not for you. And not hate. Don't let the haters get to you it's your channel and decide what you like. I'm not a Nighwish fan but I haven't seen a whole video or song. I just haven't been able to get into them. Album release was in 2016 too, but I suspect this song is older, because it still has that second guitar playing, and their other guitarist left in 2015. I like the live one more too though, it's also more fun to watch her perform on stage. "Just Another" (smile) is another good one imo (from the same album too). There's also "When Two Empires Collide", and "Under the Dome", they don't have any official videos or good live recordings from what I know, so you can probably just open up the lyrics while listening to them.

Funny thing about Jinjer is I have only vibed with about 3 songs first listen. So I complement you on not faking your reactions. One thing I knew for certain is that Tatiana is a badass so I kept relistening. Now there are not many bands who I can even listen to anymore. Because they all sound weak and boring compared to Jinjer. Truthfully Jinjer has ruined metal for me. I listen to bands I have loved for years and now I think they suck. Lol loving Jinjer is a double edged sword. Don't worry you will go through your circuit of all the metal bands out there but you will end up back with Jinjer.

First time I heard Perennial, I did not like it and was the first song by Jinjer I wasn’t good with. However it has now become a favorite of mine after hearing it a few more times. Sometimes it takes multiple listens because of how diverse and multi-layered the whole band is.

Forgot to say, I think you’ll dig Otep. Older band, but I think you’d like Confrontation or Ghost Flowers. Tati cites the lead female as a source of inspiration to try growls. Confrontation is more traditional metal, Ghost Flowers is a ride, changes pace/riffs. But I think you’ll be into them.

Song definetly grows on you after a few listens.

This one has a huge Gwen Stefani sound to me. When's she's in the chorus I hear a lot of No Doubt influence. It's a great track though. Once again Gene, Roman, and Vlad are killing it live, and Tati is always Tati. Nice reaction.

Lol this is just one of several of theirs that took me a minute to get into. Now that I have, it spanks just like the rest of their stuff. Their older stuff is really great for referencing that they've gone from being a very good band in the past and progressed to a phenomenal act today. You're getting low on Jinjer, but I think you still have Retrospection left, and it's one of their best. There's a newcomer this year that many people are calling the breakout metal band of the year. They're named Tallah and I'd love to see your reaction to them. Pretty sure they're gonna blow up big. L.E.D Overconfidence No one Should Read This I've been saying for quite some time that Tatiana is the best I've ever heard, but their vocalist Justin, is on her level.

Thanks for doing this one. I’m not ever surprised when someone doesn’t vibe with a Jinjer song on first listen. I didn’t care for Who Is Gonna Be The One on first listen, now it’s one of my faves. This song definitely isn’t one that features her talents as much as others, but the grit in the instrumental side is undeniable, and I really like the lyrics. Great reaction, rock on! 🤘🏼🤘🏼

“Nasally”, I think is the term your liking for. She’s evolved away from it, but was very nasally early on. It’s why I personally find their earliest stuff difficult to get with fully.

This song is not really that old, it's on the same album as Pisces and I Speak Astronomy. I think the vocal style was more of a stylistic choice than anything. Edit: also that bit at the end, that's called Djent

I don't think it's the voice back then in general, just this particular song. After all, it's on the same album as "Pisces", "I speak Astronomy" and "Sit, stay, roll over"

I figured you would like this more.. because the verses was kind of growling bars.. rap feel to the timing.. and Tatiana is a fan of rap as well as many other styles

My man, some Jinjer songs grow on you. I absolutely LOVE 99% of their catalog, but there are 1 or 2 songs that I enjoy but can´t really get into them. Hear me out: "RETROSPECTION" official and live in Melborune, I guarantee you it will be love at first listen!! If I´m wrong I´ll write 100 times in the comments: "Sean Staxx knows what he´s doing and I´m just a moron". And you are far from the rabbit hole end. Just from the top of my head you have some major bangers left: "Outlander", "Just Another", "Bad Water" and "Exposed as a Liar". Peace.

And they have a couple of songs with which you can do a double feature. To start I recommend Spiritbox - Rule of Nines (official video) and then the one take vocal performance of the same song.
