Honestly watching season 5, up until the last court room challenge, I thought it was between Roxxxy and Jinkx. Never thought Alaska had a chance. She was coasting. But I knew they weren't going to crown Roxxxy after she went full malicious in the last week or two. She wasn't shady, she was straight up malicious.
Luc Aux I thought it was gonna be Alaska. She was the only one to never be in the bottom 2, and won the last challenge before the crown. So, STATISTICALLY should’ve won but ya know.
Vanisi Sisters not exactly. Jinkx was placed in the bottom 2 during the final four challenge (sugar baby challenge) where she failed THREE looks. Alaska has never lost a challenge, she won 2 and was safe every other time.
Vanisi Sisters they probably had other means of scoring though behind the scenes but based on challenge wins/losses, Alaska topped Jinkx for that in a sense.
As someone with borderline personality disorder I can know I'm prone to such things and know when it's happening but also still not be able to stop it . Plus Alaska uses drugs so that could be part of it. Complicated mental and emotional situation

I love Alaska but YEA, that would have been perfect. But honestly since I'm a huge Jinkx-fan I'm more than happy that she was THE ONE to win over all the girls of RoLaskaTox at once 😂❤ And don't get me wrong, I LOVE Detox too. And Roxxxy is definitely beautiful and talented but I'm not a fan of her.
At least Alaska is self aware of her attitude and she warns people before hand. That shows decent character. I know people who are like that and hold onto the grudge of it and never gets over it and blames everyone else

Clara Aarlit Bach I also recall on AS2, Alaska and his mom were talking about how he's a sore loser, and has always acted like a brat whenever things don't go his way. The way he smiled at his mom after she said that, had me worried that my beloved queen was slipping in the sanity department. I still love her/him(Alaska)because she owned it, apologized a many times, and tried moving on as quickly as, ppl would let her without making a huge deal and holding onto grudges as if she did something to them personally. Ya gotta love the brilliant trainwreck that is Alaska. She is such a stereotypical idea of a star that honestly i cant even hate her for it cuz its so damn entertaining. She is competitive, brilliant, nice, and bratty.
I wish more people knew about Alaska being so honest about her tendency for tantrums, how they have nothing against the other person, that it’s just her reaction and once it’s over then it’s completely over. And I love the wink and sticking out her tongue! In the middle of her emotional meltdown, she managed to let Jinx know that there were no hard feelings. She was reacting to herself losing, not to Jinx winning. Alaska’s very emotional, has said so on a good few occasions by now. She cries very easily, usually when someone’s being nice to/about her. She had a rough time growing up and it left it’s mark. There was a quintessential Alaska moment in a video where several of the Queens were reading mean comments. She got one that said something about how she must have a messed up family (can’t remember exactly). She responds with a perfect deadpan drawn-out “aaaaccuraaaate”.

@polaa But she didn’t win. She only tied. I’m not saying Roxxxy is a bad performer. She dominates runway, but I think she knew going in that lip syncing against Alyssa was going to be a problem. Alyssa has a dance studio. The double wig thing that Roxxxy did was neat, but that was the highlight of the performance. Tear aways of all sorts are kind of her deal. She relies on them too much in my opinion. Ru’s emotional speech about being family was bs. It’s clear from the way that Ru talks about Roxxxy now that they’re not close at all. If Roxxxy had won that lip sync without the emotional blackmail, Alyssa would have gone home. Ru was backed into a corner in front of the camera.
Reading the comments I don't think a lot of people actually watched the whole video "wow this makes me think less of her" like did you listen further when Jinkx clearly stated that Alaska told her the tantrums had nothing to do with her and that one of them was strategically planned for entertainment also Alaska and Jinkx are friends just as Alaska and Katya are friends neither of them are pressed so nobody else should be either

Alaska also said in the first episodes of the season that she felt immense pressure to win because of Sharon's win. She knew that when she went home, she was going to be a loser in front of a winner. Doesn't make the temper tantrum okay, but you can see why she was a little more emotional than a normal reaction.

Poor Lasky, she's the biggest fan of RPDR and lose season 5 must have been really hard for her. I'm happy she's fine now and won All Stars 2, she's amazingly talented and really deserve it 💕 I don't care if she's sore loser, nobody's perfect, right? The motivation for Alaska's talent is her desire to win. Most winners love their craft and it came before their desire to win. Too bad that Alaska still can't relax and have fun!

Surely she knew she was never gonna win season 5 after Sharon winning season 4. That was never going to happen. I said back when season 5 was on "They're not going to give the next crown to the current winner's partner, people wouldn't like that. They'll bring her to final 3 and then use all-stars to give her a crown." Same with All-Stars 3, from the time the cast was announced I was like "This one will be to give Trixie a crown." I'm really surprised that being on the inside these kind of decisions are not obvious to Alaska.

I would’ve been mad if I was Alaska too because think of it like this Alaska tried out for every single season then Sharon tries out once then gets on and wins then Alaska gets on the next season gets called a low rent version of her boyfriend by multiple people in her cast then by the end after working hard the whole season trying to show everyone she is a star she loses to Jinkx not to mention at the time Alaska was struggling with an abusive relationship and alcoholism
Alaska's sore loser attitude and her little meltdown towards the end of AS2 has really changed how I look at her. She is an amazing performer but I can't watch anything she does anymore without seeing that poor sport brattiness.

But that's the point, she had to warn Jynx to not take it personally and they said how many people it took to calm her down. She may not mean it personally but that is childish behavior that is spilling out on everyone else. Watch the video of Ginger Minj singing "I Am What I Am" to Harvey Fierstein. Her attitude during that performance makes Phi Phi O'Hara look charming. You can visually see in her attitude that she does not enjoy being a backup dancer. You can see it in a lot of videos once you get this understanding of her character. I still think she has crazy talent, but I don't think as highly of her as I once did, and I'm sure she couldn't care less.

It was so dumb. Detox wouldn't have voted her off and neither would Katya. Alaska just made herself look bad. I get why she was upset but it turned a lot of people off even her friends in the competition. Idk if she should've been disqualified, perhaps if she actually gave Detox the money or pushed the offer harder where they realized she was 100% serious and not just saying it in the heat of the moment then probably yeah. It was an unfortunate tantrum that will literally be a blotch on her win forever even if she did deserve it smh

I believe Alaska is a super dominent winner, Id seen many interviews with rpdr contestants and i known about the show but it wasnt until I listened to a podcast that Alaska was on that I was like I LOVE this bitch I NEED to watch the show. Lets be real shes more dominent than Bebe, Tyra, Raja, Violet, BY FAR and as for the rest of the winners, its arguable.

Yes, Katya had the best video and that's why her AND Alaska won that challenge, she just lost the lipsync afterwards. I don't know about you, but *four* challenge wins on *eight* episodes for me is a dominant run. And yeah, Alaska deserved a bottom placement in the Herstory lipsync as much as Katya deserved to go home over Ginger, and yet I don't see anyone crying over that.
I find it disgusting that Alaska is just like “I’m a sore loser lol” as I’d it’s a quirky character flaw and not a disturbing lapse in childhood development.
