Jin Ling has every right to feel the way he does… I nust want to wrap him up in a blanket give him a cup of hot cocoa and tell him stories about how great his mom was😭 And Zizhen is fricking awesome for standing up for WWX like that-against the elders who also happen to hold power 🤣

And it was so damn clear that Wei Ying cared so much about both Jin Ling and Wen Ning, who are also victims of the bloody mess caused by Meng Yao and the other bad guys. Wei Ying died, Wen Ning, Wen Qing and the innocent Wens died, YanLi and Jin JiXuan died - and for what - blood lusting clan leaders and then just because Meng Yao was treated like sh*t as a kid; but he ended up killing people who had nothing to do with his personal trauma. Especially YanLi, that young woman was an angel!

@@englishisfun5778 WWX isn’t a victim entirely-especially in the novel. In the novel, no one controlled WN other than WWX. WWX really did lose control in the novel. Here in the drama, he was a catalyst. He may not have been entirely at fault but there are still things that he could have to avoid tragedy

@@englishisfun5778 I’m not just talking about Qongqi Path. There had been multiple occasions when he could have proven the world wrong. Nie Mingjue doesn’t want to believe that the Wens are good? Then invite him to the Burial Mounds, let him see for himself-wouldn’t Wei Ying have another ally by then? And Lan Wangji-Wei Ying didn’t have to turn Wangji away. We all know Lan Zhan would have come back again and again, even if he were punished for it. And he could have come up with a plan with Jiang Cheng, instead of turning his shidi away too. But the thing is, Wei Ying is too self-sacrificing to do these things. He’d rather go through hardships as long as it meant his family and friends were safe. He didn’t want to be the cause of another war, but it still happened anyway. The people I mentioned are to be blamed as much as everyone here. Wei Ying isn’t 100% good, neither is Meng Yao 100% evil. All their characters have so many complex layers that make them decide the choices they make. They all have a part in what happened. Jiang Cheng should have been more assertive in defending WWX instead of listening to the things others say. LWJ should have pushed harder and more vocal to make WWX see. NMJ shouldn’t have been so prejudiced and at least investigated further. WWX should have been less recluse and allowed help. But they didn’t, and that’s on them. If you think about it, Meng Yao may have planned some things, but most of these tragedies happened because of the characters’ own choices-Meng Yao simply used those choices and added more fuel to the already raging fire.

Jin Ling has every right to feel the way he does, but Jiang Cheng is a tragic character who has caused a lot of his own suffering with his toxicity. He constantly liked to shift blame away from himself, and has severe anger issues. In contrast, Wangxian come across as much more sympathetic even though they are flawed as well.
