Also it's not just getting to where he needs to go but just how Maomao's mind works most of the time. It's so easy for her mind to just start running like this so much that she forgets the world around her. She means no offense by it and Jinshi wouldn't probably be annoyed if he knew what's going on in Maomao's head. But the troubles in communication between these two is what makes their dynamic so fun to watch

0:42 I strongly believe if Jinshi would've known her actual reason, he would've helped her. Heck, I can totally imagine him carrying the food like her actual servant to keep up the disguise and help her out. 😌

Likely. However, because her father's house is deep in the slums, she probably couldn't get anywhere near it while looking like that. Too high a risk of being attacked.

It's so nice to see them slowly but surely relax around one another. Also, the roles seem to have reversed: Jinshi has become the less formal one. He has waited for so long to discuss with Maomao in private, but Maomao's silence and focus on her own thoughts ruined his chance😂. Sulking Jinshi is simply adorable.

It reminded me the time when i transferred to another school people would came to my side and try to talk to me and say “why don’t you talk? Why are so silent?” And i would always give the same answer as Maomao’s… It was a bit awkward 😅

No it's not. I was also a silent person. I mean there was a time that I had friends, but they changed so much andthey started to bully me. Now even that I want to talk about stuff like a hard life or something people just don't want to listen, because they wanted to talk about happy thing and they told me to talk about sad stuff with therapist with for me is weird, because why people are for if not to talk about good and also bad things. It's sometimes hard to talk with people, but they also must understand your needs and that you are not type of person who want to talk about everything or you're just not ready to talk about it.

I undestand here Maomao. There was a time that I became lonely and people don't want to talk about worries or thing that are not interested and she just started to talk "herself" in thoughs. Maomao think that Jinshi wouldn't talk or even listen to her problems and thoughs, but I think he would listen to her if she start to talk about it.

I'm sure I'm in the minority on this, but I kind of like how Jinshi looks in this clip. I don't know, he just looks very handsome.

He always looks beautiful, but in an unattainable divine beauty sort of way. In this clip he’s purposefully disguised as a commoner and so looks more “normal”
