For those who didn't notice: before jinwoo's last hit, he did almost 20x "fatal hit" skill (the boxes appearing) this skill is a guaranteed critical it in the weak spot. That's why this was so fast.

i think people need to understand this episode was about my boi IGRIS. Man forgot for a second who was the MC

Foreshadowing events for the next episode. Before he started the dungeon, he mentioned he forgot to do his daily exercise. The shoot if his sister shows it's already after 11pm now. He only has until midnight or the penalty kicks in.

I and everyone I know who read the manhwa have been convinced the season/cour would end at or shortly after "Arise" since about episode 3. It just made sense from both a climax standpoint as well as from how the pace of the show was going. It's arguably the coolest moment in Solo Leveling though it has stiff competition since a huge amount of awesome moments happen in the story. Can't wait!

In the next episode you'd witness the birth of an broken character, if you think he's already a bit broken character, the job he gets is just plain broken 😂😂

Although it felt as if he won just by pure luck, that was just because the anime only showed jin woo's usage of skills, gear and actual fighting IQ in a very subtle way. You'll miss it if you weren't looking, but it was there. Piercing attacks don't damage Igris's Armor, so he shifted to blunt hand to hand. He got whooped as expected due to level difference. He was saved from the killing blow by his Heavy Gauntlets, which protects from physical damage (on his hands only). His passive proc Unyielding Spirit kicked in after that last blow when Jin woo's HP dropped to below 30%. (all incoming damage -50%). Igris tried to grab his account bound dagger and Jin woo lol'ed and used Fatal Strike on his eyes, so the poisoned Kaska's dagger got him in his only vulnerable unarmored spot. The eye. I'm glad they didn't show Igris screaming that much. His death was actually pretty traumatic.

Finally from the next week the real show begins ❤❤❤ ARISE

this is the episode where solo leveling actually begins youll be enjoying it even more than you are from this point. Also the point of it cutting to jinwoos sister and mom was to show what he has to fight for to boost his drive not to lose there, he was thinking about them.

The way I read the sudden turnaround was that Igris got cocky at the very end. He didn't expect Jin Woo to have the strength or will to block his final blow and, as such, was unprepared for Jin Woo's counter attack. Jin Woo used this opportunity to attack Igris' eye, one of the few places his armour didn't protect, and then maintained the offensive, never letting Igris recoup and reset his defence, a defence that would be harder to maintain given that Igris was surprised, in pain, and dealing with the sudden, unexpected loss of 1/2 of his vision. As Jin Woo himself admitted, he should not have won that battle. Igris was superior to him at every level. Unfortunately, he got cocky and that cost him the victory.

14:00 -- You don't seem to understand why he won against Igris. Igris thought he was unarmed and had given up since he stopped moving. The moment he held his two-handed sword, he equipped a dagger from the inventory. Igris didn't know that as a player he could equip weapons straight away and was briefly surprised by this. He hit his eye directly and had the upper hand.

I still don't understand how he won😭😭 my man igris was showing jinwoo his ancestors💀💀

The reason they flashed to jin woos sister and mother when he was sitting on the thrown after being hit, was jin woo thinking about what he's living for and working hard on being a hunter for his family. Then our boy went ham

Interesting part is that the person who Animated the fighting sequence of the jujitsu kisen anime he directed this fighting sequence 🥶😵

Igris' helmet isn't a single piece with the rest of his armor (which is why the kick rang his bell for a second). Jinwoo gets him in the eye with the first stab when he's on the throne, and the final one goes up under the chin and into his helmet/neck/head, so he managed to go around the armor instead of through it.

Jinwoos kick to Igris´ head was when Jinwoo realized that there was a weakspot on Igris, he used Igris chivalry to lure him in and practically bet on one critical strike. It was a fluke, but it makes sense. Risky idea tho.

Man, Jinwoo had no right to win that battle after getting manhandled lol. It really took everything he had after being sent on the throne with one last ditch effort. Igris's design is so cool though. And I love the telekinesis with his sword near the end of their fight. Also, that helmet that Jinwoo got after is so awesome.

That’s the one thing I hated about this fight. He was getting washed and then in one second, he comes back and wins? Wished he would’ve remembered he had a weapon or maybe some trick other than … him just winning like that
