Very nice video. Explained all the details which I was looking for. Do we need to use any repeater for a duplex house? Or it could give good signals for another floor as well? And also is there any way it could work on multiple TVs?
Most welcome. Glad it was helpful for you. It would be better to have a repeater. Right now I have the jio router at one corner of my house due to the restriction of entrance of fiber cable. So to get proper coverage across ally 2BHK I am using another router as repeater. You cannot use same settopbox with multiple TVs. You can pay 3000 or something to jio and take 2nd settop box on same Connection and use it if you want. Hope this helps. Do subscribe to be notified about upcoming content.
Hi Bro, really informative video. I couldn't stop myself from liking it. My question is if am taking the 399 plan or 699 plan, can I use Jio STB just to watch Jio TV on that? I don't need those OTT apps. I might only need Sony LIV. I can take separate subscription for that to watch live sports. And I have hotstar subscription already to watch live matches.

My plan is 399 I can watch 1080p simultaneously in my Computer and TV at same time I have Hotstar subscription from Airtel recharge and Zee5 subscription from Vi recharge. And I also have Amazon prime subscription So far it has been great experience with Jio Before I paying 350 - 400 for HD DTH Channels

Thanks for the video. My question is that I already have Tata sky for my tv, so cant I just opt for the wifi router? And if I just take the router and recharge it with 999 will the OTT apps work on my smart tv or just my phone?
Hey.... If you only opt for router and 999/- plan, then you can only use prime video. Remaining all apps can be activated only with STB and then use on Smart TV and Phone. Also I mentioned a list at the end on which apps can be used on other devices, even after having STB only those apps can be used on phone or smart TV. Hope this helps.

Hi... 2.4Ghz is a narrow bandwidth of wifi frequency but can travel longer distances where are 5Ghz is a wider range frequency and can work for shirt distances. This you get higher speeds on 5Ghz bandwidth. You can improve on 2.4 ghz too by changing channels. Ut 5ghz will always be better and faster. Most of the latest devices have this bandwidth. @@Draig1999 I really doubt area manager has the power to provide extra subs on his own unless its out of his pocket as the Jio subscription is online based. But if it's genuine and you gonna use atleast major OTTs regularly, then it's a good deal. Do remember that Netflix in 3999 plans and below is basic plan. So no 4K or HDR. Hope this helps. It is a great and honest review. Today taken the 999 plan.I asked for a second set up box for my second TV. They were not clear.First they said the second set up box will cost Rs 1000.Then they said that a second setup box will cost Rs 4000.I think it is very costly and it led me to an argument with the sales team.They have expressed their inability to provide on a concession. I have a Tatasky connection on two TVs.and ACT broadband.I thought the Jio fibre will replace both and I can make some savings. Can you throw some light.
Hi... The extra Settop box is indeed 3999 including GST and they don't do any discounts unfortunately. As Settop box is their main attraction, they cash it out there. And to be frank it's a bad choice of replacing DTH with Jio Settop box. It cannot reach that level of quality and convinience unless your DTH usage is very less. Check my Live TV review video and you will know.

Thank you for the kind words... Glad it was helpful. Regarding telephone connection, you get a landline number and can purchase a telephone unit and connect to Router to use it as a landline. If you do not want to a landline, then you can install Jio calls app on any mobile and use those free calls via Wifi. Hope this helps. Will try to post a dedicated video later about this. I have 999 plan, speed is good but tech support is pathetic if router doesn't works. It's been 36+ hours after raising service request no body turned up to fix. It doesn't matter even if you contact appellate authority of jio. So keep that in mind and plan for a backup if you intend to use jio for WFH.

Hey, if you take the Jio STB, then yes you can watch RU-vid with the 399 plan too on a Non-Smart TV. Along with RU-vid you can also watch other OTT apps like prime video, Netflix, Hotstat, Zee5 etc with your own paid subscriptions if you have. Do note that 1000 extra will be taken as security deposit for the STB.

Now it is good I have 999 plan (with settop box) I get 14+ ott including prime I have two tv Two pc and connected phones like 10 And it is good Bdw i upgraded the plan two times 30mbps to 100 to 150 mbps(current)

Good review. But I am surprised in no other reviews anyone has mentioned that video quality of HD OTT content isn't good quality as OTT should be - this has changed my decision and now I am having second thoughts about going in for jio fiber. I was thinking of going for the 999 plan.
Thanks... Mostly they must not be using it as a daily driver. The quality degradation becomes mores clear with larger screen. So if you are going to use a TV screen above 32" then it would be very obvious especially in the fast-moving scenes. But apart from Live TV the 999 plan does offer good value with the OTT subscriptions. Do subscribe as I will be posting a dedicated video on the Live TV.
There isn't any degradation of picture quality of HD OTT apps like Prime, Hotstar etc. He just talked about video quality issues regarding live tv only.
@@TheLali29 prime is 1 year membership only (after 1 year you need to purchase prime membership separately even if you are using jio fiber). Hotstar is monthly membership which is automatically renewed with your monthly jio fiber connection (no extra charges, as long as you are using jio fiber 999 plan and above).
Jio fiber has the worst services in Bangalore, i fell for the trap of attractive offers and low price. When i chose to cancel the service and asked for refund they said it will be initiated 45 days after the pick up of router. Since jan 2022 i have been waiting for the pick up and am calling their call centre almost everyday still no one has come inspite of scheduled appointments. I sent email and what not, still no response, l still haven't received my security deposit. 🙏 Please choose internet service provider who value customers like ACT, Airtel and not Reliance. Worst customer service and internet fluctuations.
I have never faced internet fluctuations and fortunately even got technical assistance immediately whenever required. Depends on the area. But yes, the refund scam I have been hearing from a lot of people.
I know that... as there's no Monthly option for VIP, I showed if anyone wants to only take a monthly plan how would it be comparable to monthly jio fiber plan.
Our subscription with OTT app will be linked with mobile number which we used for booking jiofiber or the landline number we get with Jio fiber connection

Most welcome.... Indeed, they do whatever required to get the sales up. But it does can partially replace Firestick as it has most of the major apps available. But cannot replace the DTH for sure.
Hi 1. Yes you can. Settop box is optional. 2. Technically yes. Better to have a word with the guy who comes for installation of trial. If you have plan to use Settop box, better to take it even during trial and make use of all ott apps as they will be usable only with Settop box

Hey, with 1499/- you get Netflix HD plan extra. Netflix is pre-installed on the SetTop box and you can claim the free subscription from My Jio app once you recharge 1499/- plan. Hope this helps.

Ha ha... Just because it is cheaper and provides the channels you might be watching, doesn't mean it can replace for everyone. You are compromising on quality, convenience and many channels too. People are expecting it to be same as the regular DTH, which it is not. So thus my statement. But again it doesn't mean it's not useful for anyone. There are certain section of users for whom it is value for money. You may check the Live TV video I posted and you will know.

Hey right now Hathway, Den network are partnered with Jio Fiber for cable TV connection but as far as I know it's not started yet. And yes you will be charged separately for it. Hope this clears your doubt.

Nope... Except for prime video most other OTT apps need settop box with your Registered details to activate OTT apps subscription. Check the Excel sheet in description.

Hey... You can connect 2 settop boxes, but on the 2nd box, Jio TV+ won't work as JioTV+ is linked with the Settop box device id and landline number. But you can use the other apps on it. Hope this helps.
Hey... I think you meant MI 4K android Box. With MI box you can make your TV fully smart with Google assistant, Playstore and casting too. You will get wide range of apps. Jio box on the other hand has limited apps and limited features. If your requirement is only to watch the OTT apps provided by Jio, the. jio set top box should be fine. If you want to make your TV more smarter, stick to Mi box. Hope this helps Feel free to ask more if you want.

I also have an android TV but use the Jio Settop box for live TV content and some content whose subscription is limited to only Jio Settop box. No... You cannot increase the Storage of the box. It's pretty a closed ecosystem..but I don't think you would need an expansion as the store is pretty limited. And there's np NDTV app in Jio Store.
