It was my big mistake to switch to JIO connection from local cable TV. My parents are really finding it difficult to surf channels. Hence I completely agree with this video and would also recommend you to keep cable TV connection intact if you want your parents as well to watch the TV.
What does this mean ?? I have one question: Do we need to pay for channels ?? Then only ott apps works, this is what i have heard in airtel steam. Is it the same in jio fiber as well. Or we just need to pay our internet bill which is 999. ??
@@DineshSharma200666 Right now there is no separate dth connection with Jio Fiber. Live TV works only through OTT apps, so you don't need to pay anything extra than 999+gst.

Thanks for a detailed review and excel sheet. Even the jio official page is hopeless. Every youtuber just parroted the jio web page without any demo , but you Sir did a great service.
I applied for JIOFIBER relocation on 1st sep, got scheduled on 4th sep, today it's 13th sep & I am still waiting for JIO service engineer, VERY BAD SERVICE. IF I APPLY FOR NEW JIOFIBER CONNECTION, JIO SERVICE ENGINEER WILL COME IMMEDIATELY, WAAAAW IT'S GREATE SERVICE FOR EXISTING CUSTOMERS, thanks jio team.
Hey .. did you contact CS and ask the reason for delay? I rescheduled couple of months back and it was done even before scheduled date. I think it depends on the area... Not that it's great but a sad condition.

Hey. 1.If we take 399 plan and take ott subscription extra. 2.Then we open that ott subscribed app in jio setup box. 3. Then can we open it directly from voice search feature which is available on the jio setup box remote. Like: if I take Disney hostar subscription and open it on jio setup box having 399 plan. And then voice search starplus live will it open or we have to manually open Disney hostar app and then open star plus from it?
Hi. You can simply use the Jio TV+ app interface itself and open the channels from there which is easier. And yes you can open through voice search too but I have observed that it sometimes doesn't work well. Disney+ Hotstar anyway doesn't allow opening Live TV channels through the app. Jio TV+ is the only way to do it and it works even in 399 plan with your own subscriptions. Hope this helps.
@@IAmGizmogeek Thank you. Actually I'm in the trial period of 2500 pack. They have provided me ott subscription free for many apps like zee5 ,sonyliv etc except Amazon prime and Netflix. I have a prime subscription of my own which I logged in jio tv setup box. And then I tried voice searching some contents of prime videos using jio tv remote. But it's not working. It's showing me the page to upgrade your plan. Why soo? Do you have any idea? That's why I am not sure that will it work if I do recharge of 399 or 699 plan and use my own subscription.
@@saketkashyap1775 As I said voice search is not reliable. Where as you can use Jio TV+ app as I showed in the video. I used like that with 699 plan for a month and used my own subscriptions during that time. Opened individual apps for series and movies, used Jio TV+ for Live TV.
Thanks for using your precious time making that list. Seems like hard to use. I don't watch TV but my mom does and I was thinking to buy it coz monkeys here always jump on d2h antenna and dis align it. But still no internet tv connection is as seemless and easy as dedicated ones.

Hi, I have smart tv(not Android). Do I need to buy set top box for jio live tv+? Can I play jio tv+(free channels) on 30 Mbps plan without having to buy set top box?? Thanks awesome video!
Thanks... And yes, you need to take the settop box too if you want to use the Live TV channels and also OTT content. Only Prime Video and Discover+ can be claimed without Settop box. The remaining all require Settop box. Hope this helps.

Glad you find it useful. And yes it's not useful for elderly people.. Even my parents have trouble using it. Only elders who are ok to learn some navigation will be able to use it. Subscribe for more such content.
My pleasure. And yes, the interface is definitely not elderly friendly and my parents have the same issue. They find navigating normal ott apps and watch serial at later time more easier than digging out live TV from Jio TV. Also the sub par video output during live is another issue. DTH is anyday superior for many users. Glad you took that route too.
bro I have recharged semi annual pack of 5994rs and got subscription of Discovery plus but when I login from the mobile no. linked to jio it is logging but is asking to buy the pack again can you plz help me what to do?
If it depends on Jio TVplus channel guide for switching channels, is there a dedicated button on the remote to take you to the channel list screen directly?

Hi Sir, First of all, thanks for providing us the excel sheet which provides channel on plan of 399/699. I was having a doubt, we don't watch as many channels at home except colours and some news channel so should I take jiofiber and then after free trial use 399/699 plan as per our needs? And Does MX player also provides the content, not live but can we watch latest episodes afterwards. Once again, thanks a lot❤️
My pleasure... If the Live Channels that you get in 399/699 are sufficient for you, then you can go with Jio Fiber as main DTH replacement. But do note that Jio keeps changing channels available for 399/699 plan. So the list can increase or decrease based on what Jio decides. And yes, you can watch content available on MX Player TV app.

I have jio fiber's 599 Entertainment Bonanza plan. Whenever I watch live tv and open any Sony channels it takes me to Sony liv app and asks from which profile I want to watch it. Is there any way I can stop that from happening as I saw that you opened a channel through Sony liv but it didn't ask you to select profile.
Hi sir, A small query.. We are plan to take jio fiber and replace d2h.. If we want that major languages, we can add ott apps na? Eg : we are using 310 plan for videocon d2h for watching regional language (Malayalam - Asianet and Surya especially ) For understanding : 470(jio)+310(d2h)= 780/-(monthly ) If we are choosing jio fiber 399 plan( gst sep) + 840/yr, 480/yr (hotstar, sun nxt )= 580 We can use internet and watching channels which we required and other also.. This is my small calculation, No idea its wrong or not.. Pls suggest your opinion..
Hi..You would also need to take Settop Box ( if you don't have smart TV) to watch it, which will need 1000 security deposit and it will be provided only when you take 999/- plan. So at least one month you need to go for 999/- plan. Now the second thing is that live channels through SunNxt is easy as you can watch directly from the App too, but for Hotstar it doesn't work like that. For live content from the channels you need to access from Jio TV+ app and right now it allows to watch channels even if you use your own subscription but it can change any time as Jio keeps changing rules. Also as mentioned in my videos the Live channels quality in Hotstar is not good at all.. So my suggestion would be to stick to DTH if you have FHD or 4K TV and can shift to Jio totally if it's 720P TV. Hope this helps.
