Honor is victory. Honor in defeat. Jiri is a true Samurai that embodies the Bushido spirit. He lives by the code and dies by the code. In a sport full of fake clout chasers like Sean Strickland, it's refreshing to see truly Honorable men like Jiri shine.
@marioglez1553 Sure, he isn't harping on it like most fighters, which is respectable, but he's literally saying he wasn't at his best. If it's true or not, a true samurai wouldn't give those excuses. Samurai code is also about honor in defeat.

Rakic mightve messed up bad on this one. Bro unleashed the beast. Something in his face changed hearing what Rakic said. You can tell Jiri really took that personally. I get where he's coming from. He almost started crying over recalling the changes he's made in his life since he started following samurai philosophy. You can talk trash to hype a fight but you cant speak on someone's personal life that you don't know personally and it looks like hes ready to show him what hes all about.

I got Jiri by sub, Rakic gunna leg kick thinking hes Pereira and get a orbital or nose broken like Reyes. Gunna be all Jiris type of fight from there which ends with a choke late 2 or 3. Rakic gunna over extend while exhausted in the grappling range.
Agreed, rakic kicks aren’t as fast and sneaky like pereiras I feel Jiri improved his leg kick defense since his last fight. I expect a 2nd round ko or ud win for denisa

Jiri is my favourite current fighter. GSP all time favourite. Both of them are philosophers of fighting and their minds and dedication are unparalleled. Pure martial artists.
His English is limiting him quite a bit, even though he's been working hard on improving in that regard. In Czech, his interviews are really interesting cause he can go deeper into his life philosophy, training and the way he approaches martial arts (and life) in general.
Jiri never talk his privacy even injuries etc ..anyways I don’t think if I say something to be more clear about what’s up before fight with Alex , would hurt him .Last month before fight with Alex he bottled with staph infection so could not train fully and felt weaker,not him self in full readiness ,I would say ..But no excuses for sure he never make any excuses .I believe he will be back for title fight soon either with Alex or Hill 👊🏻
Jiri seems like such a great human. A hell of a fighter and so fun to watch. Rooting for his journey back to the belt over everyone else in the division.
Jiri is THE type of Mythical fighter that the Whole Town calls upon In Emergencies. The Type of Infamous Fighter who manages to hold off an entire horde of Invading Mercenaries. The Only fighter in fact who can do so No matter the Era Yet ALWAYS seems to perish due to some Nagging Infection Or cut he has delayed in seeking Medical Help for due to his toughness!
I watched the fight with Pereira ! several times and Jiri wasn't bad with 1 week camp... he wents too much to the spiritual world... in Rizin, he also went through these things, but he was a more aggressive fighter, he just has to find himself and work his way to the title, he has all the prerequisites,but as I listen to him, we can look forward to some real bombs :)

The frustrating thing about Jiri fighting style is he has the chance of an early stoppage every fight if he gets the wrong ref. The ref who stopped his fight Vs Alex would have stopped the glover fight multiple times as much as they were in trouble in that fight.

if there was a name for non-creativity in their weightclass, it would be özdemir and rakic. when rakic got that knee swelling, he didnt do nothing for 2 rounds. also this is creativity at maxxed out vs rakic NO WAY RAKIÄC WINS !!! i really like him but he is not creative enuff.
Ofc Rakic is just trying to sell the fight but it just doesn't sound natural. Many fighters don't even speak english on this card and he saw an opportunity there to maybe create some sparks.
im rooting with aleks, but i have to admit that jiri reacts and talks really calm and confident, hes a fkkn scary man MAN! :D im a little scared for aleks but man, may the better one win. im looking forward to a real war
