@@yaboicaden200bros a legend even though I wanted Alex to win in the title fight he went out like a g. And in this fight while compromised he managed to throw heavy hands to get a nice finish I love this guy.
@@AXharoth Yes, that's true, but his most exciting beliefs are understandable and inspiring in both languages because we know the context. Anyway, he is a fortunate guy to have such a chin.
@@FL-be3sb But in czech he's quite eloquent. There's nothing wrong with taking your time before you speak. Too many people these days speak too fast and think too little
Honor in defeat. Honor is victory. Jiri is a true Samurai that embodies the Bushido spirit. He lives by the code and dies by the code. In a sport full of fake clout chasers like Sean Strickland, it's refreshing to see truly Honorable men like Jiri shine.
Someone that doesn't just say "im here for that belt baby lets go!" And mma fans dont know how to handle it so he must be a psycho. God forbid he have a unique personality.
It’s his fight style too, not just his personality. He is reckless and unorthodox, it usually works for him though. It’s somewhat counterintuitive and can be a little frustrating for some to watch, even his own fans. It’s all part of what makes him exciting though
This new era of fans (nelk boys, young omallys fans, influencers, ect) won't understand the pure warrior spirit of jiri or where he's coming from. Violence and war and happiness
I’ll never forget telling my buddies about jiri when he was still with rizin “i heard the ufc is trying to sign a champion from rizin and this guys a real savage”one of the best calls I’ve ever made as a sports fan
It's what all fighters who have had success need to do. Keep evolving. So many fall into the trap of thinking what has worked, will always keep working. But they are being studied by their future opponents. People work out what they're doing and formulate how to counter it. It's probably tempting to stick to what you know, tedious to never stop being the student, so it's really good to hear him saying this. Guys will eventually understand how to deal with him... if a fight goes long enough, within the fight.
Hey Jiri I know you probably will never see my comment but I want to let you know. I’ve been going through such a tough time and you are a Hero to me. I felt there with you in Spirit. Thank you Jiri. You woke me up yesterday!
I think he is one of these guys who is naturally funny. I like his persona. He really is cool too. Still his looks remind me of Tom Hardy the actor , blue belt in BJJ
When Jiri fights ; it is pure joy ; and artistry ; win or lose ; all he cares about is the performance ; and in wanting the victory ; he will always bring his best ! Absolutely Inspirational. Job Well Done.
He deserves the rematch, he did way better than hill against pereira and even had him hurt in some moments, jiri rematch lets put an end to the controversial stoppage and let the better win
Jiri was dominating most of the fight in fact. He just lost a ton of muscle mass, which made him lose a lot of power. He used to have an absolute touch of death. If he'd have had his old power when fighting Alex, he'd have taken him out.
@@ImagoofybaII He won first round and on second round there were moments that he had Pereira hurt. Fight could go either way, but Pereira has the touch of death.
That video of jiri was from my page 😂 he’s not a psycho he was chill and took a pic before he started the meditation routine. Once he started I wasn’t bothering him anyway lol I was more shocked he was just out there solo
also language barrier with these questions combined will always make it a bit weird that's why Alex P. uses translator even tho he lives in the USA now
@@troy3423 You can express yourself in infinite ways but it still starts with being uninhibited and comfortable with yourself regardless of who is around. Basic shit
@@Jet92 not me.. I wanted Alex to win but always think you gotta go down and not defend yourself for at least enough time to see objectively the fight needs to be done. Only exception is if a fighter asks the ref beforehand to stop at certain signs/situations if they don’t want excessive damage. Otherwise they all agree to be stopped you gotta be clearly out
UFC should start offering their international fighters an English teacher so they can embrace giving their interviews in English like Jiri. He’s started learning English in 2019 and look at him now he’s very articulate and has the ability to speak English. It’ll be very helpful for them to sell their fights because they’ll be more comfortable when receiving questions.
he didnt start in 2019 :D he improved a lot since 2019 but hes learning english his entire life you may not know but jiri is well educated he even has a college degree and in czech schools the english language is mandatory subject for every student.
What a great mindset. Love it, how Jiri connect fighting with spirituality. Don't know, how people can make jokes about it. He has the mindset warriors had hundreds of years ago (I assume). And I personally are thankfull, that such characters still exist in this world.
I’ve been siting in a coffee shop sipping my flat white and regularly burst laughing my ass so loud while listening to this interview. Jiří is such a legend!😂
I love to see someone like him have so much success with people and fans... We need good values, inspirational (and interesting )human beings , even in those weird times.
This dude is absolute legend.. you can tell he really truly wants to be the best, the best period best fighter best person he can be in every way possible.. he has a fan for life in me 🙏
after watching his first ufc fights i thought he was just a gifted creative striker but he seems to have a very deep reflexion on himself and his practice i really like him
This card was fantastic. The biggest mistake on the entire card was this man not being in the main card. He has never done anything but put on a great show and I hope the Ufc never over look him again
Jiri has an amazing mindset and outlook. Great fighter, loved watching his career. He can be reckless, I can't see him getting past Alex but it's an interesting match up. 🙏
Or charles Olivera, I am so pissed why they did not get him 5 rounds. He was dominating … why is the UFC doing it to him. He is a recent champ after all. Not fair to him
Surprised Jiri isn't more popular. He has to be 2nd best in that 205lb division after Alex Perriera. He puts on the most exciting fights. If he can make some slight adjustments when he fights Perriera again...
I really feel that without that shoulder injury and time off, he would have beat Alex. If it had been regular time off and camp for Alex right after Jiri fought Glover, I truly believe he would've won.
@ilynomad that's the crazy thing, Jiri was not really in that fight like Rakic was, he got destroyed by those leg kicks and that gave Rakic also the advantage in movement. But Jiri did not seemed to be bothered a lot by that, and those kicks was INSANE. He pieced Rakic up, even though this was not his fight.
I respect Jiri. The Czech language is very different from English and he does a great job working with the language barrier to say what he wants to say. He is tough and talented.
Imagine just sitting and talk to Jiri about the meaning of life or something while stoned out of your mind. Guy lives in another realm and I'm here for it.
@@screamskilos3951 not even just czech, lotta dummies poke fun but don't even know any second language. Jiri is badass and his english has improved so much
I think that Jiri Prochazka has a lot of potential to be an actor in a film, especially war films, but for that to happen he would have to improve his English, He has an excellent personality in MMA, I don't know if he really believes what he says but he looks like a game character, If he improved his English to the point where it was very similar to American it would be good to see him in Sparta 😂😂😂
