Guys, quick question: should I wait until a (possible but most likely) MV for her other song to drop to listen to the song? That way I could give an actual first impression? What do you think? Please let me know! ❤
People were expecting a punch in my face, but they got something elegant, classic, with a nice smooth beat. The music is good, the MV impeccable and the choreography minimalist. It's perfect like Jisoo is
People were expecting way too much lol. I saw some posts on reddit and online blogs being critical of this comeback as they have the right to and am not saying they were wrong but this is who Jisoo is. It's not anyone's but hers so I am satisfied as long as she got to express herself. PERIOD. ALL THAT MATTERS.
Exactly they are forgetting it’s a JISOO SOLO it’s not LISA/JENNIE/ROSÉ SOLO. Some even expected a BLACKPINK style/vibe. Flower is an amazing and fitting first solo song for Jisoo to introduce her as a soloist. Flower exudes the minimalist/simplicity, elegance and even expensive that all screams Jisoo
@@dararariiii2567 nailed it. I even read that there were actually some people who thought she would rap in one of her songs. There’s so much beauty in simplicity.
I could never have expected anything from Jisoo's solo because I have seen the range of her potential from the beginning. This is absolutely amazing. More than the visual are the vocals, the dance, the emotions, and everything..
It is traditional Korean music and matches Jisoo's vocals and visuals. It is beautiful to introduce Korean traditional music to the world. Kpop has been idolising western music and it is about time Korean traditional music becomes part of kpop music.
i am so glad that more and more kpop songs dont go for everything over the top, instead make some rather lowkey songs. this is just such a nice listen. i really enjoy it. video is great too :)
Yes I agree Kpop songs nowadays are going hard on the instrumentals. I miss hearing songs that are simple and vibey. I’m really glad Jisoo went for what suited her the most.
I’ve never seriously cried over a celebrity outside of dramas but I legit sat here and talked to my friends about MOTHER as I sobbed over how happy I am.
People are upset with her solo, but she showed what’s her style. people need to understand that is not WE that need to elevate our standards, but they need to accept that their standards aren’t mandatory for every freaking artist.
The song is made for JISOO! It’s giving me jisoo vibes and I can’t imagine any member singing this song. Like the song is really for her, it really suits her. All eyes on me was a bop! Like I get it how Jisoo said that this track was also a candidate for the title track. It’s giving me good vibes every time I listen to it. (please stream both songs hehe) Can we also talk about coco’s outfit?? The top??? Looks good on her! And also the long hair is giving me fresh and younger vibe! STREAM JISOO’S FIRST SINGLE ALBUM ME!
The best analysis of this solo participation of Jisoo. Many people only look for Blankpink's explosive songs and forget that each singer is unique and different. Jisoo is beautiful and elegant. Jisoo is the proof that classic beauty will always be better.
Flower is my favorite solo between the four girls and not to be rude or anything, but I expected it to be the “worst” based on how I think they never even tried to make Jisso shine. But the song, the music, the video all suits her so well. She’s older and the song gives me an old romantic soul vibe(I know it doesn’t make sense) but I’m glad they’ve made her solo more sofisticated
It’s one of those songs that confuse you at first because it’s different from what we expected, but after listening to it a couple time, it gets stuck in our head!!!🌹🌹
Same, some of the song reminded of the old fashion era of chinese dramas where they were flying and swinging their swords, and then there is a mix of modern music as well, it’s what made this song very unique and I freakin love it
I’m so glad Jisoo went for a concept and sound that suited her the most rather than going for the popular demands and trends nowadays. The song is simple and elegant. I just freaking wish YG didn’t end the song just like that, I wish there was at least one more part after the last chorus but I guess that makes u want to keep listening to it.
This was worth the wait in gold I was not expecting this song to be that good masterpiece she did a phenomenal job music video very elegant and very beautiful she looks very very beautiful in the video! I love the way you react to K-pop music it's quite interesting you have your own interesting take on each video I watch❤
as someone whose not the biggest fan of bp just a casual listener jisoo has always been my fav member and I was looking the most for her solo .. her music sounds exactly as I expected and wanted from her something that screams ELEGANT .. even tho I still dont know how I feel about the chorus but I don't necessarily dislike it .. loved everything else tho especially the lyrics !! sounds so poemtic
also all eyes on me literally is the best bside too! but flower is so easy to listen to and she def ATEEEEEEE also yea we def will get at least a performance video and even better an mv for all eyes on me. and sameeee it was raining earlier for me yesterday and then the sun came out before jisoo's solo and also blackpink did say they bring the rain and come out blooming brighter like flowers hehe
Tbh i was expecting something similar to wendy's Like water where jisoo's vpice belts ballads like her yuki nk hana performance but after listening to flower in repeat, i csn say this concept suits her city princess, manimalistic elegance vibes she always exuded. Almost a princess Diana vibe
I must say that jisoo's MV is amazing. With aesthetic scenes. Flower, overall is an okay song but her voice did give the song the personality it needed. HOWEVER, Eyes on me wasn't my cup of tea. Mainly because the beat drop was giving 2015-2016. This is my opinion, you don't have to agree with it
I miss the old EDM vibe and All eyes on me was a nice tribute. Flower is a visual and musical tour de force of chic retro vibes but as you say lyrically not bad but not good as someone once said. Jisoo pulled this off because she is Jisoo.
Brooo Jisoo in that Pink dress is sooo damn hot 😭😭😭😭🤌🤌🤌🤌 Flower MV is perfect definition of Jisoo Soft, clean, calming, retro, aesthetic, 90s-80s beauty, hot, cute and YG vibes at the same time 🤌🤌
I want that perfume🥹 Like make the colour of the liquid lilac and the glass see through and shaped like a flower💃🌸 the smell of Jisoo's favourite flower and a little bit of cherry blossoms and maby even make it look a little bit vintage by adding like a ballpump... I'd be sold imediatly Jisoo and Dior go so well together🥰
she is blackpink's VISUAL for a good reason and is slaying! 🌹🌹🌹 a Flower above flowers 💐 🌻🌼🌺🌸 a flower need not say a thing, just look at it, beauty at its finest and the scent that mesmerizes. 😍 a Live Art Piece 😘 "How come no one's looking at her?" yass, how new new blinks or fans sees blackpink on first impression... but Jisoo always end up leaving that lasting impression🌹
Omg, your reaction is all of us watching our child and being so proud, I love it. We are so proud of her, she is a top-notch idol. She's a queen! 🐰🐢 we finally got our 4 soloists. And I'm enjoying so much this Jisoo era. 💗💗
Ive watched the MV and loved it. And i purposely watch many reactors reacting to her MV, just to see what each of them say...if they describe Jisoo and her MV style correctly. And you know what....youre the only one that describe her perfectly as i see her in my head. Spendid...just splendid. ❤❤
It's funny because the only ones who seem to be disappointed by her solo is her own fans. I'm not a fan but I liked the vibe of the music video and the song too, it expressed her character.
Hello French fellow Jisoo simp! Great analysis! You probably didn't watch the countdown live before the MV release, Jisoo was saying this song is to reflect all her charms. Also that yellow building, it was painted just for her MV at the universal studio lot.
You are so sweet and pleasant, thank you for your reaction to Jisoo clip. You have revealed the essence of the video in such detail, I think you have a good flair and you have correctly revealed the essence that Jisu is shown to us as a flower, with different shades. It's beautiful
YG did her dirty with that MV tbh .. they really said you are just a visual . lets put you in lots of dresses and give you simple choreo and you just look pretty in those glamour shots , they didn't even bother to tell her to move her mouth to the lyrics , i feel bad for her , she is my bias and wish she was treated better .. the song wouldve had a greater impact with a better video and a more complex choreo , like LALISA that was a BUDGET .
That’s what mv are so supposed to be they’re supposed to be visuals to the song and Jisoo isn’t even in the dance line why would you expect a a complex choreo
@@nastehoo4599 but she dances thou in the group choreo .. so she can dance .. and i dont believe you watched like any MV EVER .. they always move their mouths to the lyrics not just walk and look pretty
As Jisoo said during the live and other interview, for her solo, she wants to show us not blackpink Jisoo but JISOO herself. She's a huge part of the creative process from the song to the concept and the mv. What were seeing right now is JISOO herself, beatiful, mesmerizing, and talented in her own ways.
It’s not a dance practice, I love the fact it’s more like a movie to show off her actress side, it’s a good business move too for more views, think logically please
others have high expectations that lead them to disappointments. I remember one video rated Flower mv and jisoo's performance in the lowest number and saying that there was no rap and dancebreak. though it is her/his opinion, it is still pointless. this is jisoo, and flower mv is hers. I also imagine her to debut like this - with elegance and relaxing vibes, and I freaking love it! ❤
I enjoyed watching your reaction videos related to K-POP. When I heard Jisoo's new song, I immediately thought of your rich and delicate reaction :) Always thank you for the good video ~ 지수 존예..
The fact that ur holding back yourself during the whole time watching the mv try not to interrupt i love that I feel u girl lol... We're all SpEeChLeSs she just left no crumps
Controversial statement: I have a fairly strong notion that the subtext of the video is that rather than it being an ordinary love story, Jisoo is playing a sex worker, a 'flower girl.' In past centuries in China, Japan and Korea, the title 'sing-song girl' (Chinese:), or 'flower girl,' was a slang term for a courtesan. The yellow building which Jisoo stands outside of, looking in at a set of pearls, was painted that colour specifically for this MV shoot. It strongly suggests the 1996 Korean film 'Yellow House,' which is about a sex worker who struggles with her identity when she is forced to leave the Yellow House brothel of the title. Jisoo is playing the role of someone who is deeply conflicted by her profession, with all the waiting around in hotel rooms and lobbies, avoiding eye contact with maids and elevator operators, plus all the inevitable heartbreak and loneliness. At the same time she is still attracted to the money she makes and the sense of power it brings, as this may be her only alternative to poverty. The tearing off of the choker at the end is a signal of the character taking charge of her independence. She is no one's pet or possession. PS: This is a description of a role that actress Jisoo is playing. It is not actually a description of our wonderful Jisoo, the brilliant and talented actor and singer from Blackpink.
I saw one reaction video that said they felt like there were watching Fashion week and that she wanted to show us all her clothes. Before watching the video I reminded myself that she is an actress and the video will show that. Jisoo isn’t the powerhouse belter like Rosè. She’s not a rapper like Jennie. She’s not a crazy god dancer like Lisa. She’s elegant Jisoo and that’s okay. They all have different styles. Heck she has been saying she was trying to decide on hers so I’m not mad at this. Is it my style/taste, nope but is it perfectly Jisoo… yes!
I just want to say, I felt the video gave like a James Bond movie meet Breakfast at Tiffany, pulling the aspects of dangerous but glamourous to the scenes presented as she is the character of her story. It gives a very nostalgic 60s -70s movie style.
