The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) will, this Wednesday, host its 15th staging of Restorative Justice Conference, under the theme Transformation, Peace and Harmony through Restorative Justice.
The objective of the forum is to create greater awareness of Restorative Justice (RJ) and the interventions it provides and give the youth and critical stakeholders a platform to share feedback on the revised RJ Policy.
The Minister of Justice, Hon. Delroy Chuck and the Minister of Education and Youth, Hon. Fayval Williams will deliver remarks. Custos Rotulorum of St Andrew, Hon. Ian Forbes will bring greetings.
Among the topics to be discussed are; Framework Building for Achieving Sustainable Transformation, Peace and Harmony through Restorative Justice, Violence Prevention in Schools and Restorative Justice as an Effective Tool.
Presentations will be made by representatives of the Justice Policy and Analysis Division at MoJ, the Safety and Security Branch of the Ministry of Education and Youth and UNAIDS.
RJ, which is a service under the Social Justice Division at the Ministry, seeks to resolve conflict by having all parties involved come together to reach an agreement.
