I think you should do person swimming lure with arms that go round and round like a paddle wheel....if that is possible. But I'm sure you could do that...you make some amazing lures.

The Jitterbug was my favorite top water lure for years. I never fished mine the way you did. Short retrieve and some sharp jerks, pause. Repeat is how I always fished them and more good days than bad that way.

Love my old Arbogast Jitterbugs. My first I found while fishing. Perch colored. Rocked that lure for many years and still have it. Caught a ton of bass, especially in the dusk/night times. Found waiting a few seconds after landing before starting the action was beneficial. Nice channel!

Absolutely love this channel! Every lure is beyond perfection. Craftmenship is better then some name brand lures that are on the market..The amount of passion and heart that goes into these is amazing. Compared to some lures that are on the market that are just produced in mass quantity pumped to the masses and grabs the wallet and the money.

Sorry for your loss on this one. Have you ever thought about building a set of baits made with different woods. I would think that they will have slightly different actions. Good chance one of them are going to work better than the others.

You did a gorgeous paint job on this "jitterbug" lure and it has pretty good action. A real jitterbug has a more rounded body and and a more cupped blade. They make more disturbance and more noise. I've always had better luck with top water baits early morning or evening or on heavy overcast days. Your strikes did come in the shade of that bridge. That said, you made a really nice lure.
