@@morganapersona5347 You can't. It's a ROM that isn't yet public. Pretty sure the ROM with Jacket DIO is missing like three characters because there was no room for the jacket otherwise.
"Oh cool! Basic combos!" The Combos: A, B, S,C 4 2 2 Run around australia B C 9 Solve World Hunger 236 Find a cure for cancer Tandem Create a new planet
MF anyone with even 3 weeks of combo learning could do this shit, just learn dash cancelling but yeah most of these combos are 3A 3A 66 + Dance on the fightstick + Take a shit on it + Profit + Timestop [then get your timestop stolen by the other timestopper character]
@@Chickennuggetfart i'd say the easiest parts would be the tandem, since it doesn't really matter if you miss some inputs failing links like wc s+5a 663a will definitely get you punished
@@iamthemilkman7682 no fucking clue, it's from debug mode, but some of his moves are missing. There is a mod about the fix but if you use it online, it's probably gonna desync
The challenge is actually landing the combos in a real match. You can win just as much with regular okizeme on DIO as well, which is what I think is the most fun part about him. You can make it challenging for yourself when you want to, but when it comes down to brass tacks you can just do whatever and still win.
I find a simple one that works against people that don’t know how to avoid or counter it is 214[A] 214[A] 236[A] I suggest spamming 236[A] so it happens as soon as DIO appears back on screen as two 214[A] sends the opponent flying to the very end of the stage
The triple knife is a deadly mistress. Also that's some great work. You used the hit stun from 2 knives to set up a road roller. Bloody impressive. The usually time stop "die you son of a Joestar" combo too. Great stuff.
@@eatinsomtin9984 pol is really hard too, not as much as like Devo, DIO and Oldseph(the big three) but still hard, honestly if you're really good at any character in this game it's impressive
a good quick easy to do combo I would reccomend is (Stand off) -> + -> + Heavy + down + diagonal backwards + + -> + Heavy. What this does is first: the dash and then heavy to do damage, but not completely knock your opponent away, and stun them for a second. the down + diagonal backwards + backwards + any button sends The World to do a single heavy punch forward to do a good amount of damage and stun said opponent again. then the second dash + heavy does the same thing, except after that attack the opponent can fight back again, so rolling backwards is reccomended. It should go like this: Dash and punch, "MUDA!", dash and punch
I’m revisiting this game after liking it when I was younger. I’m starting out with bpol for learning but Dio looks so cool and complex with a lot of expression. I’ll definitely be learning him at some point.
These are Dio's basic combos he isn't an easy character definetly not one to start off with because you'll spend most of the time either spamming mudas against bad players or trying to learn his basic combos neither of which will let you learn game mechanics while you can play dio first not a good choice incredibly difficult and precise
just started playing JoJo HFTF last week and Dio looks super fun and was probably the coolest character from part 3. Everyone I know kept telling me he’s too hard to start out as a newcomer, but I’m far too stubborn to turn back now lol.
When I was younger, me and my friends played MUGEN (cause we couldn't afford an actual fighting game dont judge) and we tried to see who could get the training room npc to the lowest health before they regened. This video is basically it lol
this video is meant for the competitive audience since these combos start with stuff that you'd usually land like 661a or 665c, and have essential combo links for the character, they'd be basic compared to the more stylish and intermediate combos
Hey Aleph, ik this is a relatively old video and you might not respond, but if you or anyone else knows, I would appreciate it. I can only manage to get 3 ABC inputs when doing 1/4 circle back stand. Do you just really have to break your hands to get 5, or is there a special technique or control scheme. I do use controller, not sure if fightstick would be better. Either way, very helpful video. I’ve mained shadow dio for awhile, but normal dio is what got me into this game, and I wanna be able to play him with some level of competence
I played with keyboard and mixbox so doing 5 reps was similar to doing a 3-note trill on a piano. I've heard that people using controller would either slide their thumb across the buttons or claw their fingers and try to press each button with each finger in succession. Whatever seems to work but 4 reps is good enough.
@@shadowmekar there's a slight chance of him replying cuz he's retired now. About your question let's look at my case, I grinded the shit out of DIO with zero knowledge of combo like timing, dash cancel, walk cancel, buffering,.. Took me around good 4 months to figure out how to time the input the first BnB correctly just for 6 months to do it consistently
HFTF: Not hard to aim your target, because it's a 2D Game but comboes are hard as hell including button combo and timing based, hard comboes are unspammable comboes, but it deals so much damage. No to basic attacks, it's all comboes. Against experienced players is just once you're stunned, you're damned. Techs, blocks, guard cancels, tandems (for active stand users), super attacks, etc. EoH: Aiming is kinda hard with active, close ranged stand users (3D battlefield, hard to navigate if don't know the map so much), Kakyoin is Underrated but kinda OP, combo are easy in button orders and the amount of buttons to be pressed, but hard in timings. Spammable comboes even though they're hard. Basic attacks are still damaging. Comboes are mainly just pressing square and triangle (basic attacks), with movements and skills. Heart Heat Attacks, GHA, and DHA need to be aimed, and if misses, sometimes it just cancels out, one hell of a glitchy game Skills are making the game a bit more complicated
Yes you do have to dash do connect the kick or 2a also what do you mean summon the stand? So its either pressing an attack button with the stand on button makes your stand do the attack immediately or you have to do the tandem inputs faster
I mean He is a hard character to play I sudgest using shadow dio Since being bad with a hard character don't make you good I also know this meme that is being copiend on this comment section
This is why when you do this your opponent just blocks if you've ever heard negative edging you'll know the combos now but if you don't well we will be doing dios funeral if you every trying doing that in a match
The person who says this is a basic combo is the same person who did the same combo as a tas. For those who don’t know a tas (tool assisted software) is an ai that can do inputs perfectly and extremely fast. He did that.
I did the knife combo once and thats it, I forgot how to do it lmao because I just spam my keyboard now someone explain to me WHAT do they mean by s.236 + AA on the wiki thingy? the numbers part I'm confused with
It's number notation, each number and letter represents a way to explain something without spending too much time on doing it in detail s. Means it's a stand on move 236 means you have to do a quarter circle forward on your movement keys (down, down right, right), on keyboard you can skip the diagonals so it's just 26. AA means you have to press two different attack buttons at the same time, like AC, BC, AB (A: light attack, B: medium, C: heavy, S: stand), visit the game's discord if you have any more questions
Dio combo is accually kinda easy to do in a certain console But not for android user I haven't tried it in keyboard but I think keyboard still better than android
If I remember correctly you can mod the game to have training mode fairly easily, you just have to insert a few files that are available online, the Hftf discord should help
