I got mine after 2.5 months. The construction went well. The screws of the compression plate were too short so I bought longer ones. Unfortunately two Eva foams were missing. My cells are EVE 304Ah. Up to now I'm satisfied
2:24 - I suggest to have a close look on the big red and black wire which connect to the battery terminals . The ring lug that gets connected to the terminal has to be in the right position which means the ring itself needs to be on the bottom. Otherwise the crimped ring lug would later press against the top of the cell and pressure from the terminals screw would be pushed into the top of the cell. 2:07 - shows the black cable ring lug in the wrong position cause it has to be in the opposite position. Now the flat metal part of the ring lug is closer to the table where it should be close to the ceiling. 3:03 - shows the red cable with ring lug but now in the right position, while the black on the left half is still wrong mounted cause the terminal screw will put force on the ring lug and that will lead the pressure into the top of the cell which is not really good. Not great and I have not seen any EEL video or manual which emphasizes on this topic how the ring lugs should be positioned if you screw them into the circuit breaker If you had done it wrong like I had done then you would have to unplug the front plate and disassemble the whole circuitbreaker and box assembly to get to the point where you can unscrew these 2 cable to turn them around AND i also had issues cause the red cable to the red terminal from that MCB was like in this example TOO LONG and put pressure on the circuit breaker which then was hard to get into the hole. Big mess if things go wrong and it needs a better manual and better videos - same for the whole mess regarding temperature sensors and where they have to be placed and bolted too. Finally: my pcb A and PCB b arrived only partly assembled which I learned the hard way cause at the end I had screws over where I found out that my PCBA and PCB BMS connection boards were only fixed with just 2 scews each. Bad move to not mention these topice in the videos and also not in the manual . These topics are important.
My case has just been delivered after about three months. The local distribution partner (DPD) didn't provide any track/trace information so I was really surprised to find it on my doorstep today. Anyway, it's finally there and I can proceed with the installation of my EVE 304Ah batteries
I had one of these delivered yesterday. Can't recommend it to be honest. The connections from BMS to Battery and BMS to terminals are insufficient and should be flexible busbars. Mine got shipped with the wrong busbars even know we discussed that my batteries have single M6 studs on them. I have contacted Howard from EEL and had no response. I am looking forward to what Andy and @OffGridGarageAustralia have to say about the box.
Buongiorno ho montato la batteria ma mi da errore, devo collegarmi con il cellulare e sbloccare il bms in carica e scarica? Quale app devo scaricare? E la devo comunque accendere ma mi da la luce rossa fissa
Can you please tell me what is the cable cross-section of Plus-cable from BMS to fuse and inverter connection (outside the box). Is it „only“ 4AWG (5,19mm / 21,15 mm2)? Or AWG 4/0 (11,68mm / 107,2 mm2)?
@@meins2881 I haven’t measured it specifically, but you can rest assured that they have been tested by technicians and reviewed by the state, and can fully support 200 amps.
This battery box will arrive at the end of May~Now the European warehouse has batteries in stock. You can buy batteries first and then the battery box. I am afraid that the batteries will be sold out after the battery box arrives, so if you need it, please book with me in advance~
My review: Delivered after 4 months. No Manual at all, even no hint to this video in the box. There are only 4AWG or 2 times 7AWG cables. This is way to small for 200A. The cables are getting hot! You have to twist some cables, because some ringlocks or ferrules are mounted by 90° or 180° to the wrong direction. BMS B+ had no ringlock. Some screws were missing. Screws for compression plate are to short. No chance to get them in. Balancer PCB have no mounting support near the connector. This can cause a short while pushing in the connector, because PCB bends down and touches the metal bracket. The cables of the temp sensors are to short to thermal glue them on the alloy of the cells. (Mounting them on the cellbridges makes no sence.) The balancer cables are glued to the PCB pointing sidewards witch causes them to touch the sharp edge of the mounting rail. Comes with flexible 40mm2 cellbridges with thread inlets for the balancer cables. Quality of metal work looks good. Parts are fitting perfect together. Easy to assemble.
Thanks for your feedback. Our JK Box is a new model and does not have a manual yet, we put the instruction video first, and we will have it updated on our website very soon. -About 4AWG,we have tested them for sure it can easily pass 300A,and each 7AWG cable can easily pass 200A. -Screws for compression plate are too short Please make sure you are using the right one. -About the PCB board design, we will find a better way to avoid short and more safety to use. -The cables of the temp sensors are too short to thermal glue them on the alloy of the cells: We still recommend you fasten the sensor on the busbars to collect the data more specifically. Anyway, thanks for your suggestions, and this product will be better in the future.🤝
@@eelbatteryofficial Wich size of screws do you think are the right one? There were no other screws in the box, only the ones that are too short to catch the thread. They only fit, if the foam and epoxy plates between the cells are omited. How long did you tested the cables with continues current? Wich temperature did they reach ?
@Juergen_Miessmer I have one of these boxes also and I couldn't agree more with all of your comments. The small cables are just junk to much loss at high current. I am planning to build some new cables out of dual 25 mm2 for the negative and 50 mm2 for the positive. One of my balancer PCBs came with damaged pins and a dry joint.
Hello ! I order the 12V box for my vehicle.i want to buy and this 48V with jk bms .are you satisfied this 4 months ? It cost about 650 euro for Greece .is it a good product or you can recommend me another company diy box with jk bms ? Thanks 😊😊
