Wearing my JKs as I watch this. I grabbed a pair of composite toe 10 inch bison smooth/rough out superduties. They went ahead and custom made them for me for free - my first pair of non custom boots did not fit. Amazing company and I feel like I have tanks for boots.

I have two custom nicks. 6 urban logger and 8 builder pros. My pair of JK’s 300 with a wedge sole are my daily drivers. You can’t review these in the same class as the heavier work boots. These are an excellent “utility” boot without building a heavy work boot. For concrete days the JK boots win hands down. The nicks heavier boots are for ladder work days. You need to wear the 300 wedge soles dale. Game changer and great light duty boots. My friend tried them on and is ordering his pair from jks because he fell in love with their comfort.

This is an extremely comfortable boot out of the box. Can't go wrong with it. I also have the Forefront and the OT by JK for work, both are extremely durable and comfortable. I was fit for size when I visited JK Boots in Spokane on a work trip. All of them are excellent! I wear a 9.5 US and my brannock size is 10.5. BTW, Love the veg-tanned insoles that you sell on your website. They fit well in my Jim Green African Ranger boots.

I am 8EE on my nicks and Whites. I am 7.5 5E on JK. The toe box the JK gives you more space due to their round toe box. Love them.. the 300 x are ok for very light work around the house.

JK does have $500+ boots that are up there with Nicks and Whites. Maybe not the best, but in competition with them.

I’m 11.5 d on brannock. I am always afraid to size down. I usually size up to 12 d in boots and it works

I’m a 8.5 EE in Nicks and Whites & a 8.5 EEE in JK’s, although I could probably get away with a 8.5 EE in JK’s too.

FYI these are listed as “7.5 D” on your website and the boot itself has the stamp “7.5 3E” major width difference.

3E is JK’s d. Sounds weird, but that’s what it is

Let me clarify, JK has changed their sizing. When I bought mine in January of 2022 3E meant d. I’m not sure if it does for someone buying a boot today. Whenever I buy a JK I simply choose “size on file” instead of manually entering in the size I want.

@@brandonin_nywell now their sizing guide states that "E" width is their standard regular/most common width size. And "3E" is their wide fit. Not making this stuff up.

@@RogerLoera it would make total sense if 3E was a wide because I’m 8.5EE in Nicks & Whites. When I was fitted at the JK store I was told it was their d width or normal, so 🤷

Firerated soles are softer and wear out faster should of went with the normal 300s.

Do these run similar to White's ? I wear a q2 in Redwing, and an 11.5 in Whites. My standard shoe size is 12

Hey Dale, was checking out your site for some kilties and I don't know the difference between them, I don't know which one to order. What is a jagged kiltie? what is a blind kiltie? How long are they, what are the dimensions? You need to update your webpage for the merchandise.

I have plans to do this but in a nutshell my standard kilties are 6” long, long are 7”, jagged have teeth, and blind don’t extend beyond the eyelet facings

They do funky sizing on purpose. Which imo is just a waste of time. They use the same lasts more or less the others do. And they've changed their sizing like 4 times in the last few years.
