Everyday, I train myself. I do not have a sifu to teach me so I decided to watch JKD lessons on youtube. Can I still learn JKD? Anyway, thanks for making videos like this! It helps a lot!
I like your balanced stance. Im not JKD im more of a free stylist so I believe in leaning forward at the right time. If you are 95% sure you can land your strike in a certain circumstance its ok to leave the center/lean for a quick burst and return. But... It is a gamble. Willing to gamble?
***** Ive had my fingers targeted many times simply sparring with my little brother. Ill snap your hand or crush it in half if I have to in a fight. Believe it or not I have actually stalemated (made the fight a draw) by punching my opponent right on his pinky finger with my biggest knuckle, and that was my friend not foe. :)
+Ronin6575 If I can get a hold of anything in a fight Im gonna twist the shit out of it. Your thumb is the weakest part of the hand. You bet its a target. Try researching joint manipulation, locks and compliance holds.
THIS GUY SHOULD STICK WITH JUST PRIMARILY USING HIS HANDS. HIS LEGS ARE NOT GOOD. HE HAS GOOD HANDS, AND UPPER BODY STRENGHT BUT HE IS TIGHT AND AWKWARD WITH HIS LEGS. HE IS MISSING THE POINT OF JKD. JKD, SAYS TO ADAPT TO YOUR OWN STRENGTHS AND TALENT, NOT TRY AND DO SOMETHING THAT YOU ARE NO GOOD AT IN A FIGHT. THIS GUY CANNOT KICK.
