I picked up the Epic Air ANC’s for 49 bucks. Great features, but the ANC is essentially nonexistent, even compared to the TOZO NC9’s, and the pass through mode amplifies a lot of white noise, even when dialed down. Overall decent sound. No idea about call quality, since I haven’t tried that yet. Love the app. Worth $49, but not $99.
I hear you, I do think they have a few extra features over the $59 anc buds, so I think they are worth more than those. I probably wouldn't buy an earbud (for myself anymore) that didn't have a low latency mode, for example. And the app, definitely costs them $$$, they have to pass that on somehow...
Really Good and honest review. I have these and agree with alot of what you said.... I got them on a Black Friday deal, and was also a bit generally disappointed, BUT at the much cheaper price they are reasonable.
Good review. Not all buds have to be amazing. I'm currently overjoyed by my TRANYA M10 and Soundcore Liberty Pro 2. Unless an excellent deal comes up on the FIIL T1xs or T1 Pro, I think I'm good for awhile.
Lol, I feel the same way some days! I have a house full of upcoming reviews and it's overabundance finally. Buds have all the features I need this year, where will it go next year????
Great follow up 🤙🏼 review, I actually got these when they went on sale at Best Buy. I took them back, I was not impressed with them at all compared to other budget anc buds.
Yeah, I am very disappointed. I thought maybe other people who like a deeper fitting sport earbud might like these over say a MPow Flame Lite/Pro, but personally, I stopped using them for running. The ANC is not their strong suit either.
@@davidkaplan5517 that's a good point looking at them in comparison to the Powerbeats. Mostly for me, i didn't care for the fit of these as a workout bud, but MANY people probably would like them for that tighter sealing fit.
Simply wouldn't stay in my ears, did you notice that bass is only boosted in ANC mode, I did. App doesn't give that bass impact to these buds. All other features are great 👍 Can be used to watch the game on TV as well, no latency. A few tweaks these could be awesome (volume needs a boost)
These are my least favorite JLab earbud that costs more than $30. I just don't understand what JLab was designing, at all, for a sport earbud. You might as well go for their in-ear buds with the much smaller case or the Epic Air's that are just awesome.

Rock on @Jay! How do you like them for working out? that was really the only downside for me, they behave a little more like a dot-style earbud than an earhook/workout earbud.
Great review thank you lots of info I just bought the jlab j buds air ANC for 39.99$ at Target and I'm impressed much better than their products from just a few years ago. Jlab has an app? What jlab earbuds connect to the app? 🤔👍💯
I just felt that the fit is too tight, like regular earbuds that when I run wearing them, there's too much echo of my footsteps, too much sound blockage and not enough awareness of the traffic and people around me. It's preference of course, but most of the earhook earbuds fit a little looser it at least can fit looser than these.
these are comfortable but if you enable the noise cancelling and eq via the app this are not saved i.e. when you put the buds back into the case and reconnect the eq and noise cancelling settings will be undone so then you have to manually re enable those settings.. app also crashes
@@SoZenGadgets yep that is what i said.. they also reset to the jlab eq when you turn them on.. hopefully they release a firmware update so that it saves the settings..
@@SoZenGadgets yeah the eq settings (bass bost) is now saved.. although the anc setting still gets disabled by default.. hopefully they fix this with firmware update.. but thanks for the help.. 👍
Hey SoZen, Mpow X3 or JLab Epic Air anc? Mpow X3 feels more comfortable than Epic Air and even the controls are brilliant on the X3. Epic has ambient mode though. What would you choose?
For working out, still the x3. For feature, mono mode, EQ settings, movie/gamer mode, in ear detection (IDC about it, bit it's there) the epic Air's. Especially if the epic Air's go on sale for $49 again
