I think if Alex didn’t leave the show. Jo and Alex would be having. Babies by now. And they would live in a house that used to be a fire station so it reminds them of the loft. But it’s like the loft with so many rooms ya know.
I'm sorry but the ending they gave Alex made no sense. Cuz, yes he loved Izzy but he loved Jo more than anyone, he wouldn't be able to leave her. Izzy put him trough hell over and over again, I just don't want to believe that there are people in the world who would go back to such a person.

Even if they weren't going to kill him, then they still could have done anything else than whT they went with. Besides, how is this not putting Jo through more. This is her getting abandoned by yet another person in her life, shortly after recovering from a depression
Jo is right Alex loved her in a special way only she knows that love he gave her a real special bond they had I don't any other man loving her like Alex did and the writers ruined it all.
I watched a compilations of their love story last night. they went through a lot more than I realized. I loved them though, the way they wrote off Alex was soooo bad. I mean ??? Jo deserves wayyy better
A year later and I’m still not over how Vernoff and the writers sabotaged 16 seasons worth of character growth with Alex and had him get back with Izzie, who throughout the tenure of their relationship was either in love with Denny and his ghost, or George. Alex was always the second option in her eyes but Alex was always first in Jo’s eyes. Just pain when I think about it
First of all you little merry andrew, Izzie didn't choose George over Alex. She didn't plan it with George. George and Izzie were best friends and they loved each other deeply and they were both screwed up with grief and they were both drunk and then they misunderstood their feelings. And Izzie‘s first choice was Alex and then he screwed Olivia. He broke her trust. Alex was the reason that she fell in love with Denny and George in the first place. Alex also insulted Izzie at the party and from the first second that they met because when she met him he was nothing but a misogynist trashy man and still she believed in him anyway..Then he humiliated her with her photos in front of the entire hospital and still she was his first friend and she tried to convince her friends that he was actually a good guy anyway. Then he screwed Olivia after he made her believe that they started a relationship but she helped him to study with the boards anyway. And then he bullied a dying Denny by causing him to have a panic attack before his surgery and by proving to her that he was not going to change his shit anyway. And after all the chances that Izzie gave to him, she was allowed to distance herself from his abusive ass for a while and she was not supposed to be with an abuser like Alex after her fiance's death anyway. Also, in season 5, Izzie chose Alex over Denny. Alex was the one that Izzie always wanted like Lexie always wanted Mark but she didn't waste any time to screw Alex and Jackson and act like an obsessed chick with them while previously she was crying in the floors for Mark anyway. And Izzie loved Alex when he was the worst bully of all and when everybody was talking crap about him and she was his first friend and the first person who saw the good in him and the first person who cracked his shell..And she saved his a@# when he completely lost it with Ava..And when she was dying and she was depressed she never shut him down because he was the one who was treating her like crap and she only left because he became a rat but she loved him enough to come back for him..Jo did nothing but lie to him, shut him down, she manipulated him to propose and made a big scene about the future and even though she knew that she couldn't marry him, she also ghosted him and she stopped returning his calls only to come back and treat him like crap, she brought out the worst in him by almost killing an innocent man for her a@#, she didn't give a crap about his medical career and if he went to jail, she started the ultimatums to her marriage and she threatened to leave him again if he ever messed up with her backgound which means that she would go crazy if he ever messed up with her career behind her back,she played mind games with him for the babies and used ridiculous jokes about a fake pregnacy with no shame,she only confided in other men but him and she only loved him when he was acting good..And Alex never believed that he deserved better than Izzie,he was just a mad loser and that's why he was dying and he apologized and he was begging Izzie to forgive him and he only put up with Jo's crap for so long because he regretted his mistakes with Izzie..And the writers kept mentioning her for 10 years and when he was with Jo, he compared his love for Izzie with Derek and Meredith's and they made Jo say that his babies with Izzie might be out there..They dropped hints everywhere because Alex and Izzie are meant to be and that's it and my freaking sympathies little lemon.
I know i a bit late just saw this. It’s so sad that Alex left jo he said that he would never leave her and he did and he said that he would never hurt her but he did. Krista ruined my favorite character that grew to love. I hated season 1 Alex than he grew on me it just makes me mad that the writers can throw away 16 seasons worth of character development,
Jo is so deeply scarred and has major trust issues from her previous relationship and family life. Alex was the last string and ruined her, she deserves so much better it’s heartbreaking.
alex is one of my favorite characters and seeing the way they ended his story is one of the worse. he went through so much, had one of the biggest character developments, and was just one of the best characters in general and they ended him so horribly. he deserved better and i loved izzie and alex but she made a decision. she left and that was, or at least it should’ve been, the end of her. alex was finally truly happy with jo and they both understood each other so well. it sucks to see but a little part of me is happy that alex got a happy ending with izzie bc i guess deep down he truly wanted to be with her. jo didn’t deserve this though and there’s no excuse for that. she deserves every good thing that happens to her, like i said i love alex but knowing he did to jo what he promised to never do just makes me so disappointed. :/
This was such a shit take. Even if the actor wanted to leave their had to be someway to write him off ( without killing him apparently) to still have his storyline work. All his development was screwed over by this. I can see him wanting to be a father but not choosing izzy over them
the first time that i listened to this song: their storyline was the first one that came to mind. he hurt her, more than anyone else had; & i wish that he came back more than anything else.
he made so much progress ,just for him to look like the bad guy again. y'all gotta understand he truly loved Izzy ,he loved her from the beginning.The way they wrote him off the show was kinda smart , Izzy left a note when she ran away so they were kinda finishing the story line.
Him dying wouldve been less hurtful than this. Him leaving jo was awful. And i cant believe izzie let him. She let him hurt an amazing woman. I loved alex but this was unexcuseable. Its like season 1 alex took over.
This was an amazing edit I’ll never let this go because The Real Alex would never do this running back to Izzie now that’s just lazy writing anyways I’m so proud of Jo now 🥺❤️
There was no character development. He started out on Greys doing messed up things and ended that way too. He almost killed Deluca, he practically abused April with the way he treated her, he yelled at anyone who ever disagreed with him, etc. don’t know why everyone pretends he was a nice guy until S16
@@erimk746 sure, Alex improved a bit, but his character development definitely wasn’t anything to write home about. Characters like April and Cristina had far better character development IMO. Of course Alex is bound to make mistakes, but trying to kill someone, which is what he did with Deluca, is no mistake. That was a clear sign he was still the same person as in S1. He def got better throughout the seasons but he didn’t make incredible progress as everyone seems to think

@@vignesh.s7100 I agree that Izzie didn’t love alex that much, but it’s clear that Izzie was Alex’s true love (just not the other way around). In the 300th episode he is clearly still in love with Izzie, so it’s not in his past.

I want to start by saying how gorgeous this is, your editing is absolutely flawless! But UGHHHH! I'm still not over it. It still hurts so much to think how the writers took 16 seasons of character development, 16 seasons of watching this man grow up and mature and develop into such an amazing, kind doctor, friend, husband... and they just threw it away. I didn't want Alex to die, but I honestly would have preferred that to this Izzie crap they gave us.

Alex went back for his kids. There is no comparison between Izzie and Alex & Jo and Alex. First off they only got married cos Izzie had cancer and thought she was gonna die compared to him proposing to jo twice and even held onto the ring after she said she wasn’t ready. Alex and izzie only have kids because izzie chose to use her eggs which Alex only donated cos of the cancer compared to Alex stripping off in the loft telling jo that he wanted kids with her and they could make one then and there if that’s what she wanted. Also look at Alex’s development when Jo came into the show so he could be better for her. Jo was so much better for Alex that’s basic to see izzie was one of the worst ga characters past season 1 and only then she was tolerable so you can’t compare Alex and Jo to Alex and izzie 🤣🤣

@@jadapinnick8783 he made that comparison before he met jo so that’s not really valid. they weren’t “supposed”to end up together, hence why him and Jo got married officially like 10 weeks /episodes before he left had Justin not left then him and jo would still be together 😂 Alex went back for his kids, kids he had no say in and had no idea about their existence until he tried to help Izzie, who was by far one of the worst ga characters in the whole series and her and Alex were a horrible couple that literally only got married cos Izzie thought she was going to die, it was so unplanned that they took derek and merediths ceremony😂😂. Let’s be honest he only said that to give jo closure or whatever after everything he’s said to her over the past 5 season when jo helped fix what izzie broke, so many other couples are so much better so they’re definitely not “endgame”

I think the ending based off of the characters in the show makes no sense, but when you think about life and the reality of things this ending is very authentic. This is the reality for some people I’m this world and as much as it sucks for Jo, I do believe Alex loved both of them so hard.
There is only one word that fits perfectly with what Alex did to Jo. It was cruel. It was simply cruel. This was literally the worst ending they could give to his character, completely lack of respect for years of growth and character development, it all went down the drain.
He didn’t leave for Izzy. He left for his kids. 2 adults who grew up without the support or love from parents, they knew he had to choose those kids and be present.
The funny thing is that even Katherine Heigl, (The actress that played Izzie Stevens), said that this ending for Alex was shitty and shouldn't have happened.
I can feel what Jo felt, but still I can also understand decision made by Alex. The love of his life wasn't Jo. It's alwas been Izzie. He didn't give her chance a years before but he did when he met her after years. And I can understand him because I would probably do the same. But still he should have told all truth to Jo by himself not by letters.
how does jo go on? next to mer, she has to be the strongest character on the show. you think of what crap jo went through..then found love and safety with alex, but not forever like he promised. i’m so glad they gave her luna 😔❤️
I will never hate Alex for doing what he did. He just wanted to be a good father. He wanted to give his kids something he never had. He wanted to be a good man. He wanted to be a husband to the mother of his children. Alex wanted the picture perfect family for his children. Alex is a good man and nothing will ever change my mind. Alex is gonna do great things and he is going to be an excellent father and an amazing husband to izzie.

This hurts. I loved them, but then Alex did the one thing he swore he would never do. I don't know if Jo will love someone as much as she loved Alex. People say you never get over your first, but Alex was Jo's first true love. I don't think Jo will ever want to get married again, or fall in love again. She has the worst luck with love. Everyone gets to be with someone they love expect Jo.
I was sooo beyond sad when alex left me and my mom both we both balled like i loved alex and like i was happy he had babys but it shocked me so much when they revealed the kids i gasped out loud and then started crying like every single time i watch that part
