Graeme O'Neil takes a look at Jo Dee Messina's "Breakaway" musical response to Kelly Clarkson's covering her song "Bye Bye" on "The Kelly Clarkson Show".
Kelly has talked about the fact that artists are resistant to duetting with her, and you can understand why. Most would pale in comparison. Kelly did the Kellyoke EP earlier this year, and I think that's enough for now. She's still relevent in the pop music world. A duets album of standards is something you do when you are out of the pop world.
@@GraemeONeil honestly the only artist that compliments kelly and likewise kelly compliments her is Reba tbh. I would love to see a duet with kelly and martina mcbride though.
@@cParman9 they did sing together kelly and martina on “does he love you” on cmt giants for reba, they matched up so well. They also recorded a cover of In The Basement for one of martina’s album, kelly’s vocal sounded rough there post giving birth.
When I saw this I had to step away at work and listen several times. She just starts playing the piano and sings one of my many Fav Kelly songs so beautifully. Seeing Rosie and Tyler on with her made me so happy as well. Kelly Clarkson and now Sherri Shepherd as well are bringing me daily joys and smiles I haven’t felt since I was younger taping (yes VHS) the Rosie O’Donnell show. Love these ladies and Always appreciate you and the videos you produce about them 💙🌈💙
i absolutely think Kelly will do a country album eventually. She's still relevant in the pop music world, so I don't think it's time yet, but the time will come.
I think this was sooo cool!!! All artists should do this. Btw, ‘Bye Bye’ takes me back - late 80s and early 90s was my country I grew up on. She looks great, btw.

Kelly is amazing and can sing anything, and to add to this here comes the amazing Jo-Dee to amaze us as well. These women are both just Amazing! Love it!

I love that Jo Dee Messina and Shania Twain came from back in that era in the 90s where women ruled in country music. I was in a country bar when heads Carolina tails California came on and you better believe that every woman ages 18 to 55 belted out that song it's one of those songs its iconic and I can't wait for other female stars to break out of the box
I think this was awesome!!!!! Both gals have sang some of my favorite songs of all time! I have been very worried about Jodee for being out of the spotlight for so long. But she looks great!!! She sounds great! And her song Heads Carolina remains one of my favorite songs of all time!! I would love to hear Kelly cover that one!!
2 of my all time favorite female singers. Heads Carolina, Tails California was the song that turned me on to country music and I wore out that cassette tape. Which is why i love the Cole Swindell tribute song. Kelly has been one of my favorite judges on The Voice and can sing pretty much anything from Reba to your music. I've seen you in concert which was amazing but still been trying to get to a Kelly Clarkson concert
