Joan is such a 🌟 and so smart. She has a great comic wit. I have heard other actors, like Ali McGraw, say how generous Joany was to them when they started on Dynasty...
From what I've read about Joan, she was always generous and gracious to newcomers on Dynasty. She took them in hand and very nicely tried to impress upon them how important it was that they come work fully prepared to work and knowing their lines forwards, backwards and inside out. Some of them listened and became long-term cast members (Heather Locklear), and others didn't listen and had their lines given to another actor, their screen time greatly reduced and then were fired within a very short period of time (party boy Helmut Berger, who never bothered to learn his lines even though Joan had warned him). Heather said she learned how to play Amanda on Melrose Place after watching how Joan played Alexis because they were such similar characters. Joan Collins seems to be a class act.
