Joan had the loveliest diction and pronunciation and her confidence and manner of speaking are just so perfectly poised, relaxed and effortlessly classy. The very manifestation of a star in the classic sense. Not to mention her sophisticated beauty and grand bearing. They truly do not make movie stars like her anymore and likely never will again. An American film icon. ❤ Also notice the highly reverential way in which she's addressed by the interviewer. He is clearly smitten with her. At this stage, she had indeed earned every bit of the reverence and respect accorded to the very veteran stars of the industry. This is truly a joy to watch.

The true greats, all sadly gone, the contemporary Academy Awards can't compare to those of the past. Joan Crawford was most eloquent, articulate and charming, as was Sinatra!
