@@historyprofiles Your videos are great. I play them in the background when my grandkids are playing. I catch them stopping their play and watch the screen. For a few minutes then return to their playing. Hoping they absorb some of your content. At 3 and 5 years of age it’s good exposure.

Jehanne la Pucelle, a brilliant young woman from an important family from the Barrois region, was chosen by Yolande d'Anjou and her son, René d'Anjou in 1428. Jehanne left for France in early Feb. 1429. Yolande d'Anjou (with the Armagnacs) was the real mastermind behind all the scenes in this Medieval story...

Love how you cover Joan of Arc this time, she's a hero. If it weren't for her, she would not had make France great again as well as having great French leaders in the forms of Louis XIV the Sun King and Napoleon Bonaparte!

The English were still in ''France'' for another 25 years after her tragic death, in 1431! Yet, Jehanne la Pucelle was certainly instrumental in bringing about a victory in Orléans. The timing was excellent, she came on the scene by the end of April 1429, Charles' army , all the mercenaries and all the supplies were paid by Yolande d'Anjou had finally arrived from Blois , an attack was ready by the first week of May. The Scottish troops on French soil were also ready ... and later ... that is why the famous ''March of Robert the Bruce'' was playing as Jehanne entered the city. Why France was able to defeat the English Aristocracy ? 1. The War of the Roses in England. 2. Ten of thousands of Scots on French soil. 3. Yolande d'Anjou was able to bring in the army of the Duke of Brittany. 4. Yolande d'Anjou used the Merlin' prophecy to recruit Jehanne la Pucelle. 5. Burgundy changed side, the Burgundian/English alliance was terminated in 1435. Huge difference ! 6. The French troops used gunpower on a larger scale and sooner during the later part of the Hundred Year War , using the ''handgoones'' and smaller mobile cannons ; the English still using the longbow( warbow) with the bodkin pin arrowhead. 7. René d'Anjou (what a coincidence, another Anjou !!) brought in Agnès Sorel (after the death of Jehanne la Pucelle) to initiate a sense of responsibility to Charles VII , that depressing and depressed king ! 8. George de LaTrémoulle ( adviser to Charles VII and an enemy of Jehanne, ) was at last removed by Yolande d'Anjou, and he was replaced by Charles du Maine, son of Yolande !!

Jehanne la Pucelle never used that particular family name d'Arc, during her lifetime. She was asked often about her name, she always refused to answer the question ! Please see Prof Henri Guillemin, French historian for an explanation . The Maid of Orléans (a newer name by 1840) became a Saint only in 1920 after the Paris Roman Catholic Church requested from the Vatican the Sainthood process in 1879. Why 1879 ? Your answer is there. Jehanne was certainly not mad, she was a brilliant, well-educated young woman, speaking various dialects from an important Barrois family. Her father was the ''prévot'' of the region under Robert de Bandricourt . Because of her heavy accent, she was made fun at the trial, (in 1431) pronouncing words from her distinctive Barrois region ! Concerning the ''voices'' , today, this is a dilemma ! Since the Vatican removed in 1969, both St Catherine of Alexandria and Marguerite of Antioch ... they never existed... how could Jehanne had a ''conversation'' with a ''saint'' who never existed ? If we could only asked Yolande d'Anjou ... As for Michael the Archangel, the other voice, he was a popular ''saint'' during the Medieval period . Numerous accounts from the population that he was ''seen' mostly in dreams and during daytime. Since the famous and small Mount St- Michel, in Normandy, resisted the English troops during the Hundred Year War, that was seen as a ''miracle'' by the general population, a sign from God.

Madness.

Joan of Arc communicated with the Heavenly beings which God sent to her. Do not mix truth with the lies of this modern, skeptical generation. Miracles accompanied Joan as she led the soldiers. She was even badly wounded, but continued her work. That is NOT the work of fairies. Her bravery against amazing odds lives to this day and let it be known that God still works through His people. If we remain true to His law and use our talents to help others, the stagnant, ignorant mode of living which so many adhere to shall give way to blessings, knowledge, and peace, yes even to salvation!

No fairies , no visions nor voices, no flying angels , no mental illness, no flying saucers with little green men... ...an educated young woman of 21 who was recruited by both, René d'Anjou and her mother, Yolande d'Anjou including the Armagnacs, in early February 1429, to stop the English aristocracy to obtain the French crown, since both the Lancaster and the Valois royal families had an equal opportunity ...

How can she hear voices that don't exist? Why as a French person would god be on her 'side', when the British are also Christians like France? She is what we call today, delusional, very interesting case!

She probably was a luciferian like her buddy Gilles de Rais. Her story sound so BS. Especially when in Christianity, women aren’t allowed to dress like man and have leadership roles in the military.

God, if he exists, doesn't take sides ! Only mankind does ! Jehanne la Pucelle had 4 missions. She was successful with 2. This was a Medieval political story and she was sadly ''removed'' by the same people who she trusted. She was captured very easily in Compiègne, it was an entrapment set-up!
