Agreed! One of a kind! I hate that so many of the folks I grew up watching are passing on. Future generations are missing out. Good thing they got you tube!
Love that.. thats my motto.. but couldn’t put it that well.. I am going to use this.. Todays female stand up comedians get too much hype even though they are not funny.. But Joan Rivers is an original female comedian.. authentically funny..
Despite Joan’s sharp wit and cutting remarks, it turns out that she was very kind-hearted, gave to many charities, and was generous financially to many people.
She's crude, imo, but really funny and FRANK. There's a lot of truth in what she says in her hilarious way, and she's able to face up to the facts of life. Yes, I can sense she's actually a really nice person, beneath all that 'crudeness'.
She had a genuine heart, a people's person. She was loved by many. Those who couldnt handle the truth disliked her. The only celebrity I wanted to meet.
Joan is the best dressed woman I’ve ever seen. She always looks impeccably dressed in the colors, styles, and jewelry that suits her best. She’s really got a great artistic sense.
Joan was hated by many narrow minded people not realizing that her act/insults was her schtick and it worked. I rather be next to Joan than a fake person. She was unique!
Anyone else cry when she walked off at the end? I always loved Joan - she was a brave strong woman who said what everyone else was too gutless to say x
Melissa's book had me laughing and crying. Such a beautiful, hilarious and real tribute to the funniest woman in the world. All Joan fans should read it.
Confucian Gentleman a good plastic surgeon. Joan was the baddest female to ever do comedy. No one will ever top her especially not in today's PC culture.
Even Ross's fake laughter cannot get in the way of Joan's perfectly timed gags and her asides. R.I.P Joanie. You were the single best stand up comedian in the business.
No she doesn't say it is as it is. Moronic. She cleverly weaves her art wit and observation into the conversation. She's very talented at the delivery of jokes and observations.
Max S. Hi Max, can you help me with a question? Can you explain your profile picture? The squares with the red, blue and yellow...what does it mean or stand for?
Of all the celebs, stars whatever, Joan Rivers is the one i miss the most. Bless her. She makes you feel so warm and smiley, its good there is so much footage to keep her alive though.
I miss Joan Rivers. She was a delight to listen to, and so quick witted. She brought laughter and entertainment to many of us in this crazy PC world. RIP Joan.
Comedians are complex and fascinating people. Joan Rivers had a sharp mind, irreverant and engaging manner that enabled her to say what many might think yet only share with really close friends. What a legend. Rest in peace. Thank you for entertaining audiences and giving laughter to this world,
Ms Rivers never fully got the flowers she deserved. Ms Rivers, along with the likes of Mr Carlin, should have been awarded the Mark Twain Prize, Kennedy Center Honors , and much more. Ms Rivers is a true LEGEND, she brought us so much joy and laughter for over 50 years and blessed us with her wit, charm and beauty. An amazing pioneer...
I admire Joan... she was amazing. AND, she looked amazing on this show. I so hope she is looking down and realizing just what a talent she was and still is. God bless Joan Rivers:-)
Speaking of Cher as she mentioned during the interviewJoan She was SIMPLY THE BEST!!!!!! RIP Joan . This world needs more people like you to make us laugh. You are highly missed
I literally spit the water out of my mouth when she said "it's like an infected asshole" LOL!!!!! God I miss this angel. Thank god for RU-vid to keep her memory alive.
"Just go to Harrods and wait for a Linen Sale",... just a sliver of brilliance there. Thanks for the memories Joan,... you blazed trails that can thankfully never be extinguished.
The most cheerful songbird of my whole life, Joan Rivers, suddenly flew from my window yesterday. The petals she has strewn about my life's garden are now scattered to the wind against my wishes. But I know the many seeds of her unique blossoms that she left behind are hidden there waiting to spring forth to surprise me and keep me surrounded in her happy energy for the rest of my life. I can't believe how heavy my heart is tonight. I think it is really broken. I miss you dearly, Joan.
Just when I thought Hellen Mirren was the epitome of elderly womanly sexiness, Joan Rivers comes along and blows everything else away. Seriously, I'd be butter in her hands, no matter what her age. What a woman.
In addition to being a consummate comedienne Joan was a masterful negotiator I assume by now she has convinced those in charge in the afterlife that she wasnt done and should be returning soon. I look forward to hearing in the next 15/20 years that she has returned for her next tour and I fully expect it to be titled "Joan.....Reloaded"
Joan Rivers was awesome. Case closed. I watched her as a kid in the 70s and she was the first comedian that literally made me shriek with laughter and hold my sides. No one else has done that, ever.
I think Joan probably did know she was an attractive woman. But I feel that to take the piss out of other's you gotta do it to yourself too. If you are going to dish it out you have to be able to take it too. You have to laugh at your self too I think. She made everyone laugh about other people and about herself too. Very clever lady
Joan is absolutely radiant and beautiful in this clip; really although she trashed her own looks so often she's a lovely woman, really beautiful inside and out. RIP funny as hell. She didn't deserve to die this way if true that the doctor botched the procedure and in fact was not given permission to begin with
The theory is.... Joan had outed Obama being married to Michael.... (there's a clip where Joan is recorded for saying this).... And some days later after that clip she 'dies' negligently while under surgery.
I don't think there will ever be a better female comedian. Also, she's one of the very very few comedians, man or woman, who can really do impromptu comedy, her comedic timing, and responses are so natural and hilarious
I saw Joan performing at a club in NYC shortly before her death. She was in great form. She said she dated a 90 year old man who was very sweet- he wanted her to meet his family- so he took her to the cemetery. We all miss Joan, especially now-😢at a time we all could use a laugh!
