Yes, Bruce Lee himself talking about this in telephone interview and correspondance letters : "I told Dan (Inosanto) and others to be careful with what they keep teaching to students, because I don't think it's relevant anymore."

While it is correct that Bruce’s students learned some different things since jkd was constantly evolving, the problem is that these students did not look into what jkd evolved into. Some like Dan Inosanto not only knew of the later developed jkd but deliberately taught what Lee discarded. In a Interview Dan said that Bruce showed him what he described as "more like boxing and kickboxing then anything else."

that is because sifu Joaquin Marcelo is deaf, lost his hearing at age 8, so he mostly lip reads.. to know that he has this limitation, and then to see how he developed as a martial artist (and in earlier years a flamingo dancer, and choreochrapher , largely by observation and feeling the vibration of the floor) is nothing short of incredible...
