It’s crazy Christian Bale was supposed to be in titanic but they didn’t want two British actors. Leonardo turned down American psycho Christian got that one. Leonardo also turned down boogie nights and Mark Wahlberg. I got that movie.

I think it was also really meaningful to him because joaquin’s brother, river phoenix was leonardo’s inspiration while he was growing up, so that was probably really cool to hear coming from his younger brother.

Yeah man, they're both lovely guys. Recently dove back into the infamous Joaquin Phoenix Letterman interview, because I'd never seen the next interview when Joaquin apologized. I thought the original interview was very funny thanks to Letterman going with it. He could've shut the interview down.

What's sets Dicaprio apart is his resume. It's Damn near flawless. Look at the other great actors, Including De Niro who is my all time favorite, they have ugly resumes. De Niro is great he has a long list of great films and great performances. He has an even longer list of money grab pictures that are awful. Dicaprio has none of that shit. Maybe u can find 3 bad ones out of the 29 he's been in. It's pretty impressive. He chooses winners.

@@gioluvs1893 Good point, I never thought of that. I will say Phoenix's made pretty good choices too, or what do you think? Somehow it's hard to picture him choosing movies for money..😄 It's otherwise the versatility that puts him and Leo at the top of my list. That ability they both have to disappear into wildly different characters. I can't think of any other A list male actor as versatile as them. Among female stars I can only think of Meryl Streep. Maybe Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence, but they're still so young, so it's a bit early to tell.

He only does passion projects so you're probably correct. Dicaprio is crazy versatile. Still blown away by his Howard Hughes performance which IMO is underrated.

While Leo was filming the revenant he rented a home in Calgary. A friend of my friend was a maid at the house Leo rented. And he was not humble or nice. He was actually the opposite and treated the help horrible…Point being, We don’t truly know these people. From seeing interviews and films. They are actors and can put in a persona very well.

Ambos admiten que leo es un actor más solicitado que ellos mismos. No estoy comparando talento y capacidad histriónica pork creo que los 3 están muy parejos pero leo les gana a ambos como estrellas y claramente por como se ha desarrollado su trayectoria lo han hecho ser a leo el #1 para la propia industria de Hollywood. @@jay.2417 it is sad. River would have been the huge star that Leo is 100%. He was already getting big and was a star. Much bigger than Leo at the time, he was just hitting his stride and was getting all the roles Leo wanted. Leo actually idolized River too. I honestly think if River didn’t die Leo wouldn’t be as big as he is. River dying helped his career honestly. Simply because River would have taken a lot of the roles Leo got after he passed.
