"Growing up I didn't have any crazy ambitions to be famous or anything, I was just so dissatisfied with all the other options. Out of college I think I sent over 1000 resume emails, that was probably the most humiliating process ever. Having my dad give me pep talks about what a great process this is, 'firm handshake, look them in the eye.' Everything else was bullshit so I became a RU-vidr, haha." Love or hate, Sam Hyde hit it on the head
I couldn't agree more with everything you just said Recently, I applied for a menial position at a block chain business, they were only looking to hire one person. I got an interview, everything seemed fine, supervisor/interviewer even seemed to like me & my responses & told me I'd know of I got the position in a couple of days if I got a call from them. I never did. Instead I got an *automated* email telling me that they appreciated that I applied & went for the interview but they decided to go with someone else. Okay, fine, but what really hurt was the next day when I saw that they posted again for the same position I applied for
Man this was pretty relatable. I remember when I was in High School, I applied for several jobs, and hardly any of them ever got back to me or acknowledged my application or existence.
Preach it brother My issue currently isn't confidence in my work but getting paid what I'm worth - so I have been applying to jobs and even with my experience it's still hard sitting and waiting
We need more videos like this... I guess their pretty personal to you, which like... I get why you wouldn't do then often, but it's like a short clip from a podcast... Maybe I'm telling you to do a podcast.... and upload clips to another channel or some Playlist or something...
