@@neomasoeu3400 Johannesburg is bigger and more diverse than Atlanta. Joburg is incomparable. I almost compared it to LA because of how it's so spread out and is the entertainment center of the US, but not quite. Yes Cape Town is comparable to San Francisco, Sydney and Rio.
As a JHB hun who lives in CPT I agree with EVERYTHING.....We only came to CPT for the vibes and ocean but JHB has "that thing" so I'm with Kat, live in JHB and holiday house in CPT ONCE.....
I'm a white American. At first blush, Capetown would appeal to me because of the artsy vibe, restaurants, ocean, and mountains. After a little additional information and thought, though, it seems like most of what I appeals to me about CPT is primarily the domain of white people and I prefer being in a more diverse environment, which Joburg appears to provide.
Joburg is like Atlanta. Super black, urban, fast paced in every industry. Kaapstad is like San Francisco or New Orleans. Chilled, jazz everywhere, coffee houses and wine tastings, beach and mountainous vineyards. Sandals and shorts. Proud Cape Town boy here btw 🙋🏾♂️ I only love Joburg for the work, mara everything else for me leads me to CPT. I don't like grooves either. Niyarasa eGoli.
I just came across your video and I LOVE this video. I'm from Cape Town and moved to Joburg 3yrs ago. Joburg is my home now. I absolutely love this city. Every time I go back to Cpt, it is for a weekend or a week. I cannot stay longer than that. I have to come back to Joburg. I've never felt more like home than here in Jozi. I gave up the ocean and mountain and made this my home. The people are incredible! I've never had such diverse friends and business aquintances in Cpt. I have to say I do miss the extra mural activities of Cpt though. The dining experiences are definitely on another level. I have experienced great places in Jozi though. It doesn't matter where I travel to, Joburg is HOME.
recently moved to cpt from pretoria and honestly i miss gauteng its literally soooooooooooooooo much better than cape town and the people are so much more friendly and vibey in gauteng than cpt but i must say cape town is for if you really prefer a laid back life style because i think life in cpt is really mezzed up regardless of the beautiful holiday vibe ... cpt is for holiday viiiibes and gauteng is just boooooomb like theres no place like GP nje
Im from Durban and I found joburg boys to be too pretentious/corny and way too alike in the way they dress, talk, music everything! Like photocopy of one boy
I'm from Durban and this is what makes me quite anxious about Joburg - it's too fast. Durban and Cape Town are almost the same....its rather relaxed here. Worse I chose to go school in the Eastern Cape where it's rather "slow" than "relaxed" so I'm worried about Jozi 😂
I don't think I'd survive in JHB I'm too relaxed for boma Small street & the MTN taxi rank in Braam I'm used to oKaren balapha eCape😂😂 I've only been to Jozi once or twice I'd only relocate for the streets because wow that's where I belong kumnandi estratweni guys😭
The Cape Town Boys convo is so triggering 😂😂😭😭😂 as a Durban girl who is currently studying in Cape Town Nami angibazi abafana baseKapa. And Kat is so right, you end up chopping with guys from other provinces while in CPT 😩😂😂
The difference between Cape Town and Johannesburg is cleanliness of the cities Cape Town is clean and Johannesburg is dirty with rubbish all over in some streets.
@@sphamandlahlela5900 Joburg allowed foreigners to dish dirt and litter everywhere that is why with informal businesses in the city center makes it unattractive too.
Not to mention the dryness of Johannesburg and roads that have pot holes in suburbs nogal, and the red soil that is annoying you can't wear white sneakers or bright sneakers in Jhb because of that red soil that's everywhere, as for the music part cape Town has its own sound we listen to cpt gqom not amapiano and Jhb or the whole media has glorified and made amapiano to be the national genre of SA forgetting that its only a Jhb and north west sound and all other provinces has their own sound, Limpopo has its makhadzi, kzn gqom, cpt gqom and hip hop and rock and dubstep, yes in Johannesburg thers alot of places to party but it's quality over quantity, and Jhb gets dark at 6pm that's also annoying at 6pm in cape Town that's the time we start to go to groove the sun is perfect.
I REALLY enjoy watching you with Kat hey! 🤗🤍 It's like watching me and my friends. I feel like I'm apart of the growth. 🥂🔥 Virgo Gang! ♍ I really love you guys!
Thank you so much for this, I'm moving to Cape Town after spending all 23 years of my life in Joburg.... I had to know what to expect in moving there 😅
Yoh at this point I sbwl to meet the right people from jozi ha !! You guys are living your lives and your still going to it even better !! Love to see it 🌷
I’ve beeen comparing the state’s capital cities and I couldn’t have agree more with y’all about JHB and CPT.💯 CPT has cute guys😭😍 but they don’t have that THING!
Same experience!!! Jwannispeke then 5 years there by Yusithi 😭😭💀💀💀 Defs the people in Jwannispeke get full marks. CT for the chill, artsy vibes qha. And then 💀💀💀 "When in Joburg you don't get to stay here and chill".
Hey wake up and create your own little way of success to make some cash, don't just watch these videos and expect it to come. God bless you and take care of yourself 🙏🏾💯
Hey guys I am from Cape Town just watched your video and feel that you guys were a bit bias undersatnding that you have spent majority of your lives or adulthood in Jozi and only been in Cape Town for less then decade. Yes I do agree with some of your opinions though they're bit one sided, ningandithathi wrong(o) iDyan ayilwanga. When it comes to race and racism we both in unison that CPT is the hub of racial discrimination this is a verdict from documented history, so racism is deeply institutionalized and these institutions navigates, and legitimate way of life is that of assimilating to whiteness, leaving blacks in vacuum isolated exiled within. This makes it difficult for blacks (us) to find CPT appealing when it comes to ulonwabo. When to amajita from CPT I would suggest uye ekasi and move away from your comfort zone in order for you to experience Amajita alapha. Sibahle siyabukeka siyathandeka and xasithanda siyayi dlala ibhola #CR7 not Ramaphosa. BTW we enjoyed the video CPT approves.
I agree the racism in South Africa comes from the white South Afrikaans & keep in mind Cape town is 1 of the biggest tourist destinations in the world so racism is also coming from european tourists. Also I have seen Indian locals dis-own their kids for dating black.
