The US president said a 100% tariff on electric vehicles made in China will be introduced, along with a doubling of tariffs on solar panels to 50%, and further tariffs on steel and aluminium.

by the time america get electric cars the chinese will have moved to flying cars. Calling the chinese unfair competition is unfair. what is unfair is charging american consumers 25pc on top of what the Chinese want to offer these cars for. What will happen? The chinese willl sell their cheap but excellent cars and products in less well off countries and as a result china and those poorer countries will benefit from innovation whilst america waddles around in the past. America has been declining for decades and now just sells weapons to other countries that’s just so sad. America really does need to reinvent itself drastically and quickly pull its socks up and be a good example to the world.

There is a fatal accident involving a latest HuiWei EV model the company of which is backed up by the government . All of the passengers are killed. Their relatives were trying to raise questions about the quality of the product but they were silenced and even forced to make apology to the company. I would not even buy a tire made in China.

First, capitalism was used in China to raise billions out of poverty. China is a state-driven MARKET economy. What's that? Capitalism? Why yes it is. Second, China STATE is using cheap labor and subsidizes, and also dirty energy, to produce these EVs. Therefore, the tariffs are more than fair game. These tariffs are good for everybody.
