He really is changing people's lives. I used to enjoy taking a drive, now have to be careful because the gas is so expensive. Went to the grocery store to buy a roast to cook for friend's and family. Didn't buy it. I was not paying $30 for meat for 1 meal. Changing. Yes Joe. For the worse.
Jesus, that must be one BIG roast. The one thing that is relatively cheap in Ireland is beef. We are in the fortunate position to have more cows than people on the island so beef is not dear. The downside is that farmers are getting out of beef production and switching to dairy and many are selling out completely. This cheap beef will not last forever. On the subject of driving many people in the US have no choice but to drive because their settlements are spread out and low density. This will take years to sort out even if the political will is there for people to live in denser settlements which I doubt will happen.

In my 66 years of life I agree but the American government has been working against us since the 1960’s and maybe since WWII. Nearly all of the “wars” (all undeclared by Congress) were to enrich defense contractors who paid off politicians so they could make obscene profits. At least then it wasn’t “in your face” like today. Look closely at Bush family, Clinton family, Obama, now Biden’s family, all crooks and liars and now all millionaires. There is no place for patriotic citizens to escape this. They take away our rights, steal our money in taxes, constantly regulate everything, start endless wars and kill our soldiers, and spend Billions...now Trillions and the money just disappears. Think Social Security and Medicare will get refunded when broken in a few years. One man was a close friend that lost his business "Masonry business" that he had been running successfully since the early 80's. He sure as hell changed my life. I saw retirement a couple years in the future, then he got elected. Not only did my retirement accounts go down, but everything from gas, heating, building supplies, and groceries went up. And it all started once the potato took office and BEFORE the invasion. So much for retiring.

Minimum wage goes up and everything else goes up with it but at a even higher price so that all these businesses and people like farmers can pay their employees of which this also causes places of businesses such as McDonald's and Walmart to lay people off/fire them and replace them with machines which don't get paid and are cheaper to maintain. Stuff like that is a reason why the economy is going to hell.

I know this is off topic but I used to be a garbage man, I was the guy who stood on the back of the truck and dumped the trash bins into the truck by hand. The funny thing is is that the driver was the only one who would complain, telling us to hurry up while he's sitting in the driver seat smoking cigarettes and drinking his big gulp. While us in the back where lifting heavy trash bins all day lol.
That was pretty much their solution to the homeless problem. If they would buy a house they wouldn't be homeless. If you don't like paying high gas prices then buy a high priced electric vehicle.
