This was an incredible night in Hollywood, at the Guitar Center's 2009 "King of the Blues" Finals. After the competition, Joe Bonamassa wowed us with eleven songs. He had a stellar list of guest stars performing. On this particular songs, which happens to be one of my favorites, Joe was joined by the GREAT Hubert Sumlin, Jimmy Vivino, and Tyler Dow Bryant. Supporting Joe and his guests were his incredibly talented bandmates, Carmine Rojas on bass, Rick Melick on keyboards, and Bogie Bowles on drums. Thank you one and all for a most divine evening with many magical moments. Just AWESOME!!! I have several more videos posted from this event, and will be uploading more and more!! I hope you enjoyed this one and that we will see you again!

Hot Shot Joe here filled in the gaps better than anyone else here on stage. It appeared that at first that everyone up on stage with the king was afraid to pick a lick, but when you are up on stage with the king, I'm sure you are a little nervous, knowing that you will never surpass the best. But as they gave it their best, it all came together, and the king wrapped it up with his licks, reminding them all who was the best. Joe is to modest to admit this, but Joe is the best, thanks Joe.

Joe is so great a player, it shocks me that any other guitar player would even want to mount the stage with him, because his voice and licks so far supercede all the rest, I would think that the rest just would not want to be shamed to try to compare themselves with such a blues master, especially on this song, for this is Joe's song supreme. And I have yet to find a better tweaked blues sound from amps and equipment than what Joe has . I love the pandamonium of the crowd here. JOE THE MAN.

Absolutely incredible. The sheer amount of talent assembled on this stage, at one time, should almost be illegal. In fact, in some states it may be!

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Have you seen the others that I've posted from that extraordinary night? Two with Steve Lukather and Joe, and two with Glenn Hughes and Joe. There is one more which has Kirby Kelley's performances. He is the gentleman who went home with the title 'King of the Blues' at the Guitar Center's final competition that night. I have a few more videos that have yet to be uploaded - one more with this particular awesome foursome. Stay tuned. :)
