Warren Haynes performs with special guest Joe Bonamassa at Guitar Center's 2011 King of the Blues Finals at the House of Blues in Los Angeles on September 1st 2011.
who are these 1.2k people with a thumbs down??? your lives must be miserable. there is no way to listen to this jam session and be anything but happy and excited afterwards.
The great ones only compete with their own limitations and that never ends. Even when they play like this I guarantee you they hear it and think it is just average and hear things they need to work on.
I really don't get why there are thumbs down votes on this video. I mean you click on a video with the title "Warren Haynes with Joe Bonamassa -- Guitar Center's King of the Blues 2011" and you see Warren and Joe and the rest of the band absolutely killing it. Are you disappointed that it wasn't Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga?
Some people are just sad ! At least you enjoyed this as you my friend have good taste . Why someone clicks on something just to hit thumbs down is beyond me !
So 3/10 of 1% ... ONE PERCENT! didn't like it- gave it thumbs down. Easy to beleive out of a group of over 20,000 that there are a few ignorant stiffs wouldn't you agree? :-) Haynes and Bonamassa ... these guys CRUSHED IT!
A look at i herd his jam with sum other people i no an herd an they are so sweet ani do mean honeys cu there ti.e is always right o. The money so it sounds bad wen they pick its jus the choice of f o rm of musi. Or their art or appeal very naturL
Warren is a much more rounded player, In shows. I believe Joe saw the light after this encounter. Joe is a technical player, very good but he sounds so empty in a room full of blues. Give me Buddy+ Eric + that is what makes the greats feel fulfilled.
Two guitar legends armed with Les Paul battle axes! And the winner is? The listeners!!! It's been a long time since I have seen a guitar dual like this. Two maestros!
Índeed.. the winner is listeners !!! Everything is not a competition and reality TV dropping someone out .. sometimes there still is some real stuff and music like this.. two Masters having fun with no need to compete 😊
Thats the thing if u ener were involved in any show business or art or dance u always half to feel ur best or b feelin ur. An yourself find so wen i bri g it out nothing will ever make u sweT unless its wat u meed an the appeal ma l es you rsttled an hpt
@@jamestriffet3296 Dunno, as a Sox fan, tonight was the culmination of an all-time great season...this team from 2018 will be one of the baseball Gods....
Amazing that 3 of the best blues/rock guitarists to ever play were part of The Allman Brothers Band. Duane, Warren, and then Derek Trucks. That's absolutely amazing!
Joe Bonamassa is an absolute respectful gentleman. Watch the video of him playing with Eric Clapton and instead of trying to upstage a master they complimented each other. A man of class.
@@Realneilyoung Hello Warren! i`m fine thank you, how are you? I´m 67 and living in the north of Sweden. I´ve discovered you in the Allman Brothers Band for many years ago. You are a marvelous guitarist, one of the best ever!!!
Hate it when 2 guitarist feel like they have to dual and play the fastest licks but these guys do the exact opposite. They trade licks and have a good time playing a lead and letting the song breathe and have a flowing feel to it. It's perfect
jeff jackson Exactly. Nobody can do that anymore. As an example, I like Joe Satriani as a solo guitarist but persay he were to get together with Steve Vai, it would start off cool but then lose the listeners interest. But Warren Haynes and Joe Bonnamassa can play for 45+min. and still have the listener in a stone cold groove.
These two are great together ....you can tell they both respect each other ....Joe let's Warren run it and it works out beautifully.....Two professionals working off each other not over and it's just great stuff.
As a musician, I cannot imagine the "high"..both emotionally and spritual that these two wonderful guitar players experienced during that preformance. Amazingly both so gifted, and just wonderful to watch.
+Shawn Smith ................you are 100% correct..............no one, no one ever has the emotion that Warren has with exception of Hendrix who was all emotion.
+guitar78ish Yeah, I have to qualify my statement. I was agreeing that Jimi had tons of emotion. As much as I like Warren I would not put him (or anyone except Jimi) in the same league as SRV.
+Shawn Smith Well said....I've had a few drinks and am missing SRV right now, big impact on my life.(Hendrix was a little before my time, but SRV opened the door for my exposure to Hendrix)
Stop comparing and simply enjoy amazing artists at the top of their game! I could practice 24/7 and never sniff this level! Thanks for a great song guys:)
Man i watch this over and over again. Damn it brings me to LIFE! So energetic powerful and yet playful and fun and simply wow. I love it so much. Wish I had been there. That would have been one of my greatest memories i swear. Can't imagine the feeling standing there in the crowd with those two doing this performance. Fuck...
This is way over the top too good!!! What gifts these musicians have, and you can tell where their "high" is coming from: That song and fret board. Wondeful music, and I am happy for that entire band. It doesn't get any better than this!
Les is smiling from up above with these two powerhouse axmen. Really enjoyed this video. Thanks Guitar Center for putting these two fabulous blues/rock guitarist together
@@kylesanford1993 His Les Paul sounded like it was just on a ride! No switching needed. Just enough edge to give it some growl, but clean enough to let those highs come out clean. I thought his guitar sounded like what I expect from a Les Paul. Just beastly!!
The most beautiful thing about this performance is its not competition its collaboration. Music is made a contest so many times and it should be about the experience the passion the love for music.
+Chris Gullace, It seems to start with a 'tit for tat' but moves into very sincere appreciation by each for the other's riffs! I play this specific performance frequently and at very high volume, thanks to my very low THD system! There are a LOT of extremely talented and creative Blues artists that are generally not known or heard of. I would list a hundred or more, but finding them yourself is a huge part of the fun! Enjoy the treasure hunt!
Pure blues genius!!! What a duo could listen to these guys 24/7. I love blues music from early skiffle through to what Hendrix/Mick Taylor/John May all and ALL the greats have achieved. Metamorphosis, learning and growing by each other's input. Brilliant !!!✌
Wow what a great song, great band and guitar played by two masters. Different styles but Joe and Warren really compliment each other here. Pure genius from these guys.
A musical crime scene!!!! Joe and Warrens guitars, too much!!!! Warren has the best blues voice of anyone playing today!!!!! It’s amazing to watch these two virtuoso’s trade licks!!!! They are both proud to be on the same stage as each other! Monstrous performance 😎🇺🇸🔥
Bonamassa started as a Phenom with the late great B.B. King at 12 years of age! He's a natural...literally. Not many of them dedicate their lives to playing the blues for a living. We are indeed blessed to hear this young man play.
Who in their right mind would thumbs down this jam? Here are two of today's very best blues guitarists just absolutely shredding!! Just magnificent stuff, wow!
I often come back to listen and watch these two play with such a skill level and passion. If your into playing guitar, this is food for your soul right here gang.
