this is a ZZ Top cover with a Joe twist! Love the use of the Theremin (hand synth) by Joe! normally they sound annoying but Joe uses it right! threw in a little tribute to Zeppelin too 10 minutes in!

Bonamassa was a prodigy and is a national treasure. With that said, near the end of this performance he was channeling and paying tribute to Jeff Beck in his playing and use of micro tones and slurs and slides. It's quite amazing. To compare, just check out Jeff Beck's great albums Blow by Blow and Wired. They're just mind blowing musically.

I like what Bonamassa does here. He even mixes in a little Still of the Night by Whitesnake & Dazed & Confused by Led Zeppelin.👍 But check out the original of this song by ZZ Top when you get a chance. It'll make you feel like you're down in Texas on the outskirts of some town at a good ole' Texas Barbeque Restaurant & bar licking barbecue sauce off your fingers!! 😋

If you havn't seen him perform, go see him NOW b 4 he gets old. He is currently on tour. One of the true guitar giants in his prime.....don't pass on an opportunity. I made that huge mistake with BB King......... and only have regret not seeing him perform live b4 he passed. JB is a child-prodigy legend, plus he is one one of the nicest human beings on planet earth. Thanks for reacting. A few of his must-listens: Blue and Evil, Trouble Town, U Upset Me, U Left Me With Nothing But The Blues, Breaking Up Somebody's Home, Angel of Mercy, and Redemption. He has 18 studio records and counting.

Heard him in person almost a year ago. One word...AMAZING!! This dude knows his way around a guitar or ten and his vocals are nice as well. Well worth the ticket, will definitely be looking to hear him again! Did I catch a little shout out to White Snake, The Still of the Night in there? Maybe not but it sure sounded like the guitar solo in that song. Joe is phenomenal, great reaction!!

Mr. Bonamassa takes ZZ Tops Just Got Paid and turns it into a tribute to all the great guitarists of the past. Joe is all of them and more! Master guitarist. Quite possibly the all time best. Rock on Joe! Great reaction Maddy! Very enjoyable as usual. Keep up the good work young lady!

You might really like "Angel of Mercy" from the Greek Theater. Plays the Flying V . The intro is the definition of angry guitar. Really shows off his vocals too.

Holy 6-String , Batman !! So this level of guitar virtuoso is still being produced ? And performed live ? This suite is sweet. Why does Bonamassa get knocked sometimes? You don't hear his name mentioned when talking about great guitarists. Or greatest of all time. I'm not a musician, so I can't hear or see anything in his playing that is less than stellar. Is he perhaps simply not a "smart" player? Don't get it.

Nah he got bashed because he is simply in a genre were this isnt soooo appriciated. Many blues enjoyers can be very snoby when it comes to solos. They allways shittalk his too fast solos and playing, it has no soul they say. I know he can go off sometimes but rarely and sometimes you have to appriciate that not many can play that so smooth. For many of his solos he has very well ajusted progressions and variety, so i cant get the critics. If you want B.B. King, just go and listen to B.B. King. I dont think he is an underdog. All in the music industry know him and he has big concerts, so not underperforming in any level.

Great musicians. But very generic. No feel . Just going through the motions. Been a musician a long time. You can just tell.. I know he’s capable of writing great songs. I have heard them. Chose the wrong performance to highlight.
