He does at that. I had the extreme pleasure of seeing him in Abilene, Texas with a different lineup of world class musicians, Irish fiddler Gerry O’Connor on fiddle, banjo and mandolin, Mats Wester on the nyckelharpa, a keyed fiddle, Arlan Schierbaum on a vast assortment of keyboard instruments and Puerto Rican percussionist Lenny Castro who plays the most eclectic and unusual percussion instruments you’ve ever seen! They first performed together and recorded Live At The Vienna Opera House after a single practice session the night before the concert! It’s absolutely amazing! They did this acoustic set to open the concert, took about a 15 minute intermission while the electric instruments & amps and full drum kit were set up. Then Joe came back out with his touring band and BANGED it out of the ballpark. I saw an audience in Abilene react in a way I’d never seen them react before!! When Joe & crew came back out for their final encore, Joe said, “ It took me 35 years to make my way to Abilene, Texas, but I promise you, it won’t be 35 years until I come back!!”

Tina Guo is her name one of the most sought after cellist in the world. Joe in one of his livestreams said he was glad to be wearing glasses as it hid the terror she instilled in him.

Just got paid Royal Albert Hall. Joe was featured on 60 Minutes when he was 13 yrs old as a prodigy. Touring blues clubs under his dad’s supervision. He opened for BB King at the age of 12. I do not know the cello player but she’s hanging with one of the best guitarist in the world. Very impressive!

I travelled fro London to New York to watch the 2 shows at Carnegie Hall while there was a Snowstorm coming in that shutdown New York , they were Mesmerising together and this song , have you ever seen 2 of the oldest forms of music branded together and made into a tour de force of Classical and Blues , I was 3rd row and my Jaw was in the 5th 😎💯 fierce fierce fierce

Bonamassa is one of the greatest living guitarists. He was a child prodigy....played with BB King onstage at the age of, I believe, 9. He is usually on electric guitar, not acoustic, as he is here. Anything from his Royal Albert Hall performance is amazing. He is probably greatest living blues guitarist. He can p,any in the style of Stevie Ray Vaughan or Jimmy Page..,,,I saw him in concert several years ago with his band. He is OUTSTANDING. This is a special collaboration.....Joe collaborates with many artists....His work with Beth Hart is stellar.

Joe is an amazing artist and person his blues organization, Keeping The Blues Alive, was distributing fuel cards for touring musicians during the plague year so they could get back home after all shows cancelled. A very smart and humble individual. There's a video of him performing and the house PA went out. So he quieted down the audience and used his vocal technique to project his voice for the whole theater.

Joe B is one of the greatest guitar players in music history. The fact that the cello player is just as good, if not better, is mind-blowing. The other musicians on that stage are the best in class. Joe only works with THE BEST, and that’s a fact. You can listen to every Joe B song on RU-vid, and you won’t find one that disappoints, I guarantee it!

Joe has performed with a ton of other artists like Peter Frampton, Josh Smith, Eric Gales, Samantha Fish, Larkin Poe, His backup singers The Soul Mates are led by Mahalia Barnes the daughter of Australian Rocker Jimmy Barnes who Joe also teamed up with to cover Deep Purple's Lazy. And Rainbow's Stone Cold (Both songs are covers of Ritchie Blackmore who left Deep Purple for a bit and formed Blackmore's Rainbow later shortened to Rainbow.)

Joe is a blues legend, but this is the second time in 24 hours I have seen him play in this abstract way...... even if 2 very different styles or genres. Last night he was channeling his Aussie mate and legend Tommy Emmanuel. Here he is still channeling Tommy, but adding some Grappelli and the Hot Club de France. Maybe even adding some Django Reinhardt guitar, but in a very different technique. The man’s legend is growing stronger as he ages and he does use superb guitars. I wish Tommy would follow suit and ditch his Matons. lol

Can't believe you never heard of Joe Bonamassa. He's been ranked the number one Blues Guitarist for many years. This concert was just an Acoustic concert. If you want to see a great duo you need to look up Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart together. It doesn't get any better. Joes first professional job was when he was just twelve years old when he was asked to play with BB King.

Ok, maybe too harsh--Thanks for reacting to this particular performance, which is both unique and sensational. It's just that it's frustrating when the some of the best talent in the world, like Joe Bonamassa and Beth Hart, is not respected or is devalued. The vast majority of music, lyrics, and performance is just so pedestrian--and most people seem to be content with that. This isn't that. In spite of not putting 2 & 2 together, this reaction and your reactions in general, are insightful and spot-on. BUT, please follow through on the suggestions in my previous comment. Thanks.
