This is Joe Bravo y los fabulosos Sunglows. Certain sources credit it to sunny and the sunliners, sunny and the sunglows or the sunglows. This is the original version. They recorded a supposed live album entitled live in las vegas or something like that and sped it up. That's the version most people know.
joe bravo and the sunglows. then joe left or whatever and sunny came along .. under recording terms the names changed to the Sunliners. which changed with a lead singer's name and the band.
Still a boss jam regardless.......sucks how record companys ruin credit for hard work involved....and todays radio that are on set programs to please the money gods.....I know what I want to listen to more than some program director that chokes the air with the same 20 songs everyday
I was in a band way back in the day, we jammed with Joe Barvo and then Carlos Guzman showed up!! We jammed till they ran us out!! So we all decided to go to My house and we continued to jam until the beer and Whiskey ran out not to mention the COPS! But they were cool COPS cause they sat in the cruisers and let us continue jamming! There were a bunch of people out in the front lard and the street dancing and having a great time!! How times have changed!!
I have the original 45rpm record and it sounds the same after all these years.pure memories. Dallas Tx 🇺🇸. but born and raised in the south side of San Antonio Texas. Orejo for ever.
Toda mi vida I've been thinking que Sunny and the Sunliners cantaban esta canción because in Barrio Music they appeared in the credits but ya veo que Joe Bravo is the original voice. Descanse en paz maestro Joe Bravo, muchas gracias for all this years listening this firme rola. Orale
I’ve always sang. Not because I’m good, but because it makes me feel good. This is the only song I feel like I could actually sing. Decades of hearing it and singing it. Geez!
I was at my cousin's birthday party. He was turning 8. All the adults were drinking. All the soda had rum in it and I found out the hard way. I heard this song and remember thinking "am I drunk? Because I like this song too"
My primo Chale was in el rancho when Joe was a real skidrow. You know Joe if you were there. This guy would share his commiisarry con los vatos de vida. God bless you Joe
@@rainytreeserv Yes, Joe Bravo is still alive! He just got out of the hospital recently and is planning a final tour before he retires from the music industry,
Exactly, takes to my childhood growing up in El Monte, CA. Bittersweet memories. I currently live in Huntington Beach and Miami, but EM will for ever be in my ❤
Yeeho..... bailando cheek to cheek at Patio Anda Luz in San Antonio, TX ...back in the good old days being a teenager. No worries, no violence, good times only!!
This has always been my favorite rola ever since I can remember my older carnales playing this jam while they ironed their tramos (pants). Straight out of WILMINGTON, CALIFAS - WILMAS!
Their tramos(pants) and their lisas (camisas)..con unos cacles(zapatos) bien shaineados ..y su tandito (sombrero)...y si tenian Feria pues su ranfla(carro)...y una buena guacha (reloj)...🙂🙂🙂

I love the San Antonio sound, and I like this song pretty well. But am I the only one who thinks the laughter in this is a little ominous? Maybe that's what he was going for.
