I defended cole for a decade Against Kendrick I will never debate that again Bc of what he did I was highly disappointed Still love his music But the perception Has changed
yup! but Cole kinda was feeling himself b/c the past couple years Drake was chasing pop history and kendrick was on some art shit, and Cole was bar-ing the game up. he had risen to #1, but once both turned their attention back to the game, he got blown away. which is sad b/c im a huge Cole fan. but after that drake response, yikes, Cole is not fucking w/ him.
I think Drake's diss is gonna be hard, maybe shocking to some, but played all in the clubs cause he's a hit maker. Kendrick's diss will be a heavy hitter. Maybe ether level
facts. i still don't like what Cole did, but let's admit...they all somehow seem to be ignoring the part where Cole said he made the diss...listened to it...dropped it...then "saw THE TALK" coming from it. that's what made him do this. he said that very clearly and specifically. i don't understand why no one else understands that. if i'm going to war with my man's for fun, and im seeing outsiders tryna turn this friendly battle into something it's not and downplaying him....im not gon like that bruh. i'm not gon rock with that
Rumours are from the Ovo camp. The strategy is to run a narrative through popular hip-hop podcasts to sike Kdot out. Drake lost to Pusha, we think Drake has the pen game to dance with Kendrick, nope 😂
Here's what boggles my mind as an avid hip hop fan and also as a fan of J. Cole....While I would have enjoyed some light sparring back and forth between Cole and Kendrick I aint mad at him for what he did. That aside, I have NEVER seen such an avalanche of drones (ie supposed, hip hop fans) mimicking this ridiculous rhetoric that because he apologized, his legacy is somehow tainted. I am seeing so many comments from people echoing the ridiculous sentiment that he should be cancelled and he could never be deemed the greatest because of his apology. Again, I understand the desire of fans to witness two greats battling in the hip hop ring, however, I truly believe a lot of these people are either incapable or unwilling to excercise independent thought (ie mob mentality). I admittedly have never listened to a Drake or Kendrick Lamar album (not hating at all, just never have), but I acknowledge that they are both top tier artists and crucial to hip-hop, but to suggest that J Cole should be cancelled for not feeding some of you peoples blodlust is Ludacris (pun intended). Think about this: Tupac Shakur (my personal, all time favorite rapper), spent 8 mos in jail for sexual abuse; Jay-Z, who many consider the GOAT (not my personal favorite, but I aint mad at anyone for putting him on their list) pled guilty to 3rd degree assault for "stabbing" a record producer; Lil Wayne (another great) went to jail for gun possession; Lil Nas X sold "Satan" Nikes with actual human blood in them; Nelly, Snoop; Drake have all been faced allegations of sexual assault; Rick Ross was a whole correction officer posing as a big time drug dealer, & dont even get me started on the so-called female MCs (Un)Sexxy Redds and Sukis of the world (Team Rapsody all the way) ... yet people are condemning J Cole for, wait for it...apologizing. Now I get that my personal opinion aint worth a hill of beans but I wish people would sit and let all that marinate for a minute. To me personally, this speaks to a larger issue than hip hop. This age of social media where EVERYONE has an opinion (myself included) and all it takes is a cheap mic off of amazon and some free editing software to put that opinion out to the masses, has been and will continue to be, the downfall of society. A bunch of drones (carbon copies) looking for the negative and the controversial to amplify for clicks and likes. I am just sick of this mob mentality that has poisined peoples minds and corrupted their souls. Again, let me say, as a hip-hop fan, I personally would have LOVED to see Kendrick and Cole back and forth in a battle ..and as a J Cole fan I was not a fan of his diss track (7 minute drill) - to me it was subpar at best (Although the rest of that EP is STRAIGHT FIRE) , HOWEVER, as a human being I am just sick of these narratives about J Cole (as an artist) showing up on my timeline and this entire practice of jumping on bandwagons. And ANYONE who doubts J Cole's lyrical prowess (whether youre a fan or not) is in denial. #ColeWorld #JCole #GodMC
this is silly. why are we acting like not wanting to diss someone makes you a weaker rapper? This was never even legitimate to diss one of the nicest rappers that ever existed. That was a wack ass move by Kendrick in the first place. Invite him on an EP and go bar for bar. THAT would have made sense - EVERYBODY would have won for getting that and we could have gossiped forever over who was better. And Kendrick Lamar and Drake aren't anywhere near the same lane. I'm sad that JBP are giving this any play because they all know and have clearly said before that these 3 dudes aren't in the same ponds, never have been, and never will be.
Ice: “he told the truth” Naw bruh, JCOLE said something that initially confirmed ya bias But you don’t want to acknowledge what JCOLE said about trying to downplay KDOTs catalogue yada yada Because Yall want Drake to do something Yall said JCOLE was about to do easily. Why is KDOT can’t be adhering to The Art of War? Honestly, no matter what KDOT does, it won’t be enough to overcome Drake’s Popularity 😅
Q. Why Cole can’t be the best lyricist/song writer? A. Because Lupe is the best. S. He never said he was the best battle rapper R. GTFOH. Comparing himself to Muhammad Ali and talking for years how he can smoke anybody on their own tracks...
He does smoke everyone on their own tracks because he’s lyrically superior, not because he’s “battling” them. The fact is that most of the time the person who wins the rap battle isn’t actually the better rapper. They just get better shots in. Winning rap beef is really overrated. The real question is why didn’t we get that Cole/Kendrick mixtape that we’ve been waiting for. That would be a much better display of who’s lyrically superior.
please wake the fuck up.... drake ain't doin nothin but having meetings every hour on the hour with his ghost writers.... if he's Diana ross which he ain't then kendrick is Aretha!!! you better ask somebody... and put some respect on Kendricks name
??? Cole is easily been out rapping everybody for a couple years now. Kendrick went quiet so it was Cole and Drake then Cole went on Drakes song and smoked him while bringing up the whole big 3 talk which is a basis of kendricks revival. Cmon now be serious.
Ice has been the most consistent co-host out of the group until his stance on this Cole v Kendrick beef. I just didn’t understand how he didn’t see Kendrick’s verse as a check on both Cole and Drake. He definitely felt a type of way on that and that was not a friendly competition diss IMO. I think Joe made valid points regarding why he didn’t see it like that on the other podcast
Cole smacked TS out of Kendrick then Apologized!! How tf did he lose? Lmao..It’s the equivalent of a bully slapping someone then realizing fighting you means nothing..lol..Kendrick diss to Cole was weak AF and then Cole made a song! F are y’all talking about??lol..Cole can body anyone even you Budden!! Lmao..
@@HumbleKiller dude basically told kendrick he'll squash him like a bug. But didn't want to do it to him because they cool. J.cole diss track is the hardest thing we heard come out this. A poetic cannot beat a lyricist in a rap battle.
@@617boston6 his diss was good but it wasn't crazy. Appropriate response for what kendrick did. And no, Cole does not beat Kendrick. He already folded. It don't matter how much you wanna excuse it.
Nothing manly happend there with Cole. It was a man who spoke a lot of talk and couldn’t back it up. That’s it nothing more. If Kendrick would have responded and Cole then apologized i would accept that. But Cole backed out before a reply even came. Kendrick’s part on like that was mainly aimed at drake and not Cole. Cole now just a rapper who talks shit and don’t do anything
J.Cole is the smarter one amongst them 3. He made the right move backing out of the beef. Go He’s the real winner in this beef. This is not even a beef anymore; it’s just two rappers snitching on themselves. This is sad for hip hop. Now look; there is a shooting at Drakes house. Was all this necessary? No it wasn’t. My respect for J.Cole has increased. We don’t need all this negativity. Now the media is going to make hip hop and black people look bad once again. Black people don’t learn from their mistakes. So sad.
