I thought the same thing, that he was talking shit to his own defense... Buuuut he says, "you better get your boys ready, 'cause we're about to bust dat ass on Saturday" meaning, my boys (the offense) are ready, so as the leader of your boys (the defense) you better be ready as well, because we're about to collectively bust dat ass (the opponent's).
I still remember when he was announced QB. My dad and I were talking football when we heard the news. I remember him saying "I don't know what it is, but I have a good feeling about this new quarterback." Little did we know what we had in store for us in the future😂😂
@@quinngalloway4989 Naw Urban actually did right bye Joe by naming Dwayne the starter early so Joe could pursue opportunities elsewhere… Obviously he should’ve started Joe though lol
@@charlesellis3710 he didn’t do right by him. How went to another program and out scores his replacement to make a statement as to how Urban made the wrong decision. You can say it worked out well in the end but you cant say he didn’t do him dirty lol
@@johnathonlongtin2275 He didn't do him dirty. Haskins threw 50 TDs that year man. OSU has a wealth of talent and sometimes the timing doesn't work out. Naming the starter early enough for the others to transfer was the best thing he could do, regardless of who he picked - they were both excellent choices.
@@robertdigby4504 lol his line is boo boo and still got there. And tbh that shit felt rigged in my book. Pretty sure I can say he'll back at some point
Not really, if you think about it. He wasn't hyped, he made a name for himself. He wasn't this legendary recruit that was proclaimed the next big thing. His play put him out there.
This is the guy you need leading your college football team every week and I promise you will never lose....great leader, excellent quarterback, you can't ask for more from your qb than what Joey Burrow brings day in and day out!! I miss #9
Burrow and LSU fans are so unbelievably lucky that Meyer chose Haskins because Burrow would have been another typical OSU and Meyer system qb that is not used to the more complex passing concepts and reads used in the NFL. It isn't only Meyer that utilizes oversimplified reads and concepts which hurt his QBs trying to go pro but the entire history of OSUs football program has yet to produce an NFL QB of note that either wins a SB or at least has an extended period of individual success.
Been a Bengal fan for life, yes through all the embarrassing years too. Joe Burrow came in to a group of players, and turned them into a team. They laugh together, challenge each other, and hold each other accountable. He is the chemistry that formed the team. He's the best thing that could have happened for Cincinnati. The impact he has had for Cinci goes way beyond his play on the field, he's a leader and breeding a winners culture. THANK YOU JOE!
a year late but this is a great example of leadership - establishing friendly competition and trash talk but also bonding together as a team regardless of the competition or trash talk
This clip is legendary now. I remember seeing this and I thought he was gonna be a bust. Smh literally one full season and he’s prob gonna go far in this playoff.. with the bengals… the bengals use to be the easiest team To beat for years. This guy is insanely Good.
@@gregpettis1113 I think he’s exactly like Jalen Hurts. I watched him play high school games. He’s definitely talented. He just needs to be coached up more. Like Jimmy G sucks, but with that 49ers staff he got coached up a bunch. Bryce is still young too. Joey B is like 25. A lot of being a good QB is age and experience. Some guys have more convictions and tenacity then others. Some guys just want it more. All men are created equal, so work harder in preseason.
Omg preach, nobody's making that connection but I feel that way and I'm born n raised in cincy. Bradys the perfect qb to me but joe. You said it perfect. The league is going to take noticed eventually. The Bengals will make noise but they have a hidden gem with this guy. Checks off all the key things to be that good and he knows how to win.
@@darkrainbow3835 Burrow is going to make plenty of noise in the NFL before he's through. He and Josh Allen are both ready to shine (Mahomes, too, but Mahomes is a couple years ahead of the other two. He's already established).
During this past season, after beating Texas, Florida and especially Alabama. Can you just imagine what Joe Burrow’s life must’ve been like on Campus? I went to the University of Arizona when Derrick Williams was there playing Basketball. This was the year they beat Texas and a Kyrie Irving led Duke to the Elite 8. Then they lost to Ohio State. But I remember going to a Party during Spring Semester (after basketball season ended) and seeing Derrick Williams sitting on a couch. He had his arms stretched out along the top of the couch and had 2 girls under each arm on both sides. There was like a mob surrounding him. We all knew he was going to be drafted. He would’ve went #1 overall if it wasn’t for Kyrie. He went #2 overall to the Timberwolves and his career didn’t really pan out. But for that one year, he ran the city of Tucson. So if Derrick Williams only went to the Elite 8 and was drafted 2nd overall and was that big of a celebrity on campus. Can you imagine what it must be like for Joe Burrow? Someone who won the Heisman, won the National Championship, beat all of the Preseason #1-#4 teams, and basically brought back the LSU Football program that was a good team but they weren’t like they used to be. He took that team and put them back on the map. Plus, he’s a really good dude. You can tell. His life must’ve been amazing during this last years Title run.
Why We Love Film Tucson really? A population of what? 200 tops. Tucson is lame and in the middle of no where. Just a bunch of white blonde caked up orange faced chicks.
@@ElCapitan1997 Oh, I thought you had something more to say. Damn, never mind then. That's all you had? LMFAO! That was such a waste of time. Come back when you have something to say other then what's on Wikipedia. Smh...😂🤣😂🤣
Why We Love Film I can’t even imagine how being the man at a top tier d1 would be. When I played in juco my teachers all made sure I passed and girls liked us athletes. Couldn’t imagine being d1 though
Everybody saying “he almost did” or “this aged well” are clowns. Joe got close enough to almost smell one but now he’s still like the majority of other QBs. Ringless. Stafford on the other hand 👑
Took Stafford how long to get one? And don't say "bUt He WaS On ThE lIoNS" because we all know how bad the Bengals organisation is. Stafford hd to leave the lions to get a ring
Joe Burrow went LSU when the season was half way through.LSU offence scheme was still pre historic run heavy approach. But 2019 full off season time to train and prepare and he goes off.His 2018 highlights are irrelevant
This guy is gonna win multiple superbowls, he's young and hungry. Nit only that he's a class act, can't wait to see what the future has in store for him.
Joe just has something you can’t teach. Infectious energy and a love for competition and his teammates. This is a dude that is a real leader, and makes everyone who shares a jersey with him better.
Nothing like those battles in college when you have a full scrimmage, situational scrimmage, planned competitions, and the absolute best one of all, Oklahoma Drill which we call Boiler Drill at Purdue. Put a man in the trenches in front of all his peers 2 - 3 feet away screaming at the top of their lungs, and you see what kind of man he is.
This is what a leader looks like. This is why he has the respect of every man on that Cincinnati Bengals team. Bears fan, but will be cheering for him in the playoffs. This dude is a player.
Lifelong Rams Fan here, but have Loved Burrow since he got to LSU and Coach Orgeron! Burrow is an Ascending 🚀 Star and will take his Rightful Place in the HOF by the time his career ends! Go Burrow…just Not Against the Rams This Week‼️
He's really got something special. That x factor people talk about in my opinion is just that competitive spirit that tells you that no matter what situation you're in, there's always a chance that your going to win. Whether it's in practice or an actual game your going to get everything the leader's got.
