How could ANYONE come on here and mark this down? Joe Cocker was one of the greatest singers of my 60 years, and I am SO GLAD that I was able to see him in person and up close after 43 years of waiting.
+Kell Morrow It is because they are people with no taste for good music and truly talented musician. Joe was amazing. I grew up listening to his music when I was a young kid in the 70's :)
+Kell Morrow People that like Rap, Chill out music a.s.o. and this kind of music cannot understand, that music is soul, not made by computers. I LOVE JOE SINCE 1969.
If you watch this, I mean really watch this, and you don't get an emotional boost you might want to check your pulse. Joe Cocker leaves nothing on the table and I love him for that.
@@fabiosozzi7226 Exactly right, you can never forget Steve Winwood, a legend ! This performance was pure gold from everyone involved, they reproduced the original sound from Joe's song ( and this was JOE'S song, I know who wrote and played this previously but Joe showed what the song should, and could be). Apart from Joe none of the people here were on the original, they were young children mostly, but they perfectly nailed it here. So let's mention them here, Brian May,Phil Collins, Steve Winwood and the three girl backing singers, from left to right ( as we see them) Margot Buchanan, Claudia Fontaine and Sam Brown. UTTERLY BRILLIANT !
Joe Cocker great artist from the same city as me Sheffield. Watched him in several pubs and clubs before he became famous. I also had a drink and a chat with him in the Shades nightclub, just before he went to the US and sang at Woodstock. A great guy sadly missed in his home city.
christopher roman Hi Christopher, good to hear from you. I was feeling a little nostalgic, a dear friend of mine has just died, we first met when we were 7yrs old at school and we both saw Joe Cocker sing this song just after he had recorded it, and we were together when we met him in the nightclub. Known my friend for 60yrs, longer than I know anybody else. Well, my friend, I hope you and your family are all ok, and PEACE to you.
The only person to ever take a Beatles song and make it their own. Sure there has been others whoahave covered Beatle songs but there is no one else who took over a Beatles song. Three years without you Joe. We miss you.
Joe Cocker is the best! When our son was born, we said "you are so beautiful" was his song, and we love Joe Cocker from this day on.... we saw him, front row in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.... My wife was ready to jump on stage with him!!! That must have been 30 years ago!! What a great man!
These is one of those great songs of all times. One doesn't get bored listening to them over and over again. They simply bring those suit memories of the past! God had truly blessed great people like Joe Cocker and his band! Because when listening to them, the worries and stress become a thing of the past! Quality-quality music indeed!
That is nothing short of spine tingling, in my opinion the only Beatles song cover that is better than the original. The musicians and singers were phenomenal too!
One of the greatest male sole singers of my generation, pure Class & perfection. As he aged his gravel voice perfected, an outstanding performance ....
There was only ONE Joe Cocker! His stage presence, his zeal for his music and his style is one of a kind and there will never be another one like him. Good bye Joe......we miss ya man!
I LOVE Joe Cocker's voice and songs!! His back up singers are so awesome as well!! I think a lot of times back up singers go unrecognized for their awesome voices. They also make the song. Great voices in unity!!
@@mefirst4266 Don't be so goddamn ignorant. The show is Joe and everyone playing and singing their collective arse off. Back up singers are responsible for more great records than YOU will ever know
Tengo toda su música, tuve la suerte de verlo en concierto! Tenía la voz muy personal,y desde luego sabía cantar! ..... Un gran artista, de los que nunca se cansa uno de escuchar!! Tus Fans ,no te olvidan !! 🧚
Te extrañamos Joe ! Gracias por todo tu bendito Arte!!! Amabas lo que hacías y por éso te respeto mucho! Gracias por bajar ésta parte del Recital en el Jubileo del 2002!
I think it's awesome how a highly respected superstar like Phil Collins who has left such a HUGE footprint in the music industry, doesn't mind taking a back seat with the drums while his dear friend Joe Cocker can shine on stage. How freaking cool is that!! What an awesome performance by all on stage. Rip Joe🙏🏽
To make a better cover like the Beatles original song. It's really masterpiece... But it happens: Nobody remember about the original, but almost everyone can recognize this cover. But Joe was the phenomenal cover maker. My favorite: "Aien't no sunshine when she gone". BRILLIANT! God blessed you Joe. Rest in peace
Cocker's style & gravelly voice was very distinctive! He seemed to be struggling to deliver & I always thought he would get a heart attack at any minute in his performance!
One of a kind this great singer . When joe sing, you believe him and his words . There will never be a special singer like joe cocker . Thank you joe !! Will always love you .
I'm 75 & a Colorado native, saw much talent throughout the years at famous Denver Red Rocks anfa-theater; But Joe Cocker took down the House; there will never be another! RIP Joe!!
What a song! what a backing group, what a great bunch of backing musicians, the brits do this so good, god bless the Sheffield steel man! so much energy in each song he ever did!
💪For all those plastic artists of these times who need to learn. When real stars come together this is what can happen, A REAL AND TRUE MASTERPIECE, interpreted in a perfect way and adaptation, ufff I stay mute, I love this music until the end of my days. Long live rock & roll🤟
Im 36 years old, My dad is a drummer and im drummer, i used to watch him play in dands and i followed suit. Im lucky to know what good music is, and this is fucking amazing.
I'm 24 and guitarist. Unfortunately I don't have musician parents but i got lucky to make the knowledge of wonderful people wo brought me to this music. I'll be always thankful for that
Everyone of my age has seen him performing at Woodstock on TV or u -tube or god knows where. But for me , seeing him in concert in Kelowna, BC, Canada 20 or so years later was the best experience of my life. That voice makes me feel like life is worth living & I hope everyone who hears him feels the same way.
after all these years, i am thinking this might be the best concert ever... once again, Aug 29 2021, may be the best concert ever....anyone??? Joe, Brian May, Phil C,,,,,,, and the best gospel singers ever.
I am so glad that I got to listen to Joe!! Noone is perfect...Noone is without issues...Joe...you lived your life....thank you! I am also living mine...Cheers!!
