We played this song the day we brought our daughter home from the hospital and laid her down in her crib for the first time. We had waited for her for a long time.
I saw Joe Cocker in concert in the early 90's, I was just a casual fan at the time seeing the SNL skits of John Belushi imitating him as a young teen. So I though I would give the concert a try, boy I did not know what I was missing until he walked on stage and belted his first note out! Firstly, his entire band were Studio musicians of the highest caliber, the soundstage everything down to the most minuscule detail was pure perfection. The sound resonating from the stage was liken to being in a recording studio, just perfection. I have sat in on jam sessions in Recording studios so I can say without hesitation Joe Cocker was a once in a lifetime type of artist. Yes, his concert left an impression on me Ill never forget.
