Edgar may not have approved but I sure do. That Area 51 sequence in Looney Tunes: Back in Action is wonderful.

This was one of those films that always seemed to turn up on TV. The alien was pretty scary to me back then, but that didn't stop me from watching it every chance I could get.

Always enjoyed this film. Amazingly small budget and short shooting schedule. This film is far better than many others of recent years. I wish it were on television tomorrow.

Every person who comments on this movie likes to point out that it cost 5¢ and the change they got from refunding two bottles of pop, yet everything in this movie works. The cinematography is moody and foreboding. The creature design of 'the Man' and his spaceship/bathesphere are both effectively creepy and otherworldly. The peril is as real as this type of movie can affect. The true villain is good and the twist of the loss of a potential positive encounter with an alien species ruined by greed all play believably. And as if that weren't enough, it's just plain fun. Imagination, creativity, ingenuity, and good storytelling over big budgets anytime.

Another staple of late night Cleveland TV, and a damn good one. John L. Russell (PSYCHO) is the credited DP, but Ulmer has stated in interviews that his friend, the legendary Eugen Shuftan (METROPOLIS, THE HUSTLER) usually did the actual camerawork on his movies, uncredited, because he couldn't get into the camera union here in the states. Not that Russell isn't great, and underrated.

He was brilliant. He directed The Black Cat, one of my very favorite movies. Bluebeard and Detour were also great.

If only someone created a site where you can look these things up. Think I’ll get started. I’ll create 2. One called Google the other IMDb I’ll be rich

@@DK-dy4bk It would be a great idea, the downside would be connecting you to a world of evil but would allow you to conversely become free from the cares of want.

Ha I felt sorry for the Alien, the woman's description, geez lady not everyone looks like Brad Pitt lol. I think it is still a fun watch, we send out messages to outer space, include Earth info and greetings in our probes but if anything shows up how are we really likely to react? KILL !!!!!!!! I actually found this alien to be one of the least intimating I have ever seen lol
