Brian and Megan always a treat seeing you folks. We all had a great time at Joe Nall. Patiently waiting to check out your new pond and RC field. Take care and hope to see you again soon. P.S. Thank you for the shout out. Meeting folks like you at these events is really what it is all about. 😉
Likewise Brad! Glad you were able to meet us, despite our typical running a million miles an hour - thank you for taking the planes for me to fly!!!!! Pond is done, and basically just waiting on Harrowing and Seeding, as well as a beach, which we decided to add last week. We also need to get a dock designed and built, or ordered, or someone hired to help up do it...but that might be a bit, since we need to wait for grass to take, I assume. ...also we've been working the wood pile, burning it over the last week or so, and it has been a HUGE pain in the buttocks...but it is almost "done" to the point where we're gonna have to bury, or "lose" the root balls - they're evidently hard to get rid of??? Thanks for the great time together at Nall, and we will be publishing updates on the pond from time to time, and eventually a "Pond - Unbox, Build, Radio Setup" or some such goofy thing.
Megan just read your comment and laughed ;) (It made me feel very special - LOL) Thanks for being here with us Mike! Are you involved with PPG, out of curiosity???
Hey Brian I know y'all been on a vacation but it's time to get back flying I'm waiting on RU-vid to show me another video I enjoy watching you fly your camera crew does a excellent job
Soon! We are getting caught up from Nall, but also putting the finishing touches on the pond as well as terrible weather and some storm damage that needed our attention. More flight footage coming very soon!!
I really like the way you guys do your JN reviews both last year and this year. Most just show the top pilots flights or the vendor tents which is cool but your videos kind of show what it’s like to go there and experience the whole event. Hope you do it like this every year. Thanks for the work doing it for those of us who couldn’t go.
We're glad you say that, since Megan works her tail off to make this happen. I just talk to people pretty much the whole time, and if it weren't for her efforts, and heavy bag of stuff, we would get like 5 minutes of clips - LOL - and the video would be so lame ;) I guess that's why we call her the "camera crew" - she is good!!! Thanks
Hey guys thanks for the awesome videos! I enjoyed spending time with you at Nall as always. When i get the F16 Turbine done you can fly it as well. I know it's one of your favorite jets.
Thanks Brian and Megan for sharing your trip to Joe Nall, I have had my self the pleasure of going once so far but I plan to go next year. Joe Nall is the best experience you can have in a lifetime for an RC'er fanatic in my book besides Brian Phillips RC. AWESOME STUFF !
Excellent! Thanks, and maybe we'll see you there next year??? We haven't solidified plans just yet for 2025, but we're leaning toward, probably, at this point.
Hi Guys! Those helicopters always blow my mind! Brian at the end of the vid you said something that's sooo true....gotta start in the Hobby right with a beginner plane to develop muscle memory before you can fly those amazing expensive planes like a Rock Star. (Ok, I embellished some...but I absolutely believe that.) Camera Crew...what a treat to watch that 10 yr old flying. Thank you for making that trip again this year. Living vicariously through you! You'all are the best RU-vidrs! Cheers from Annapolis Maryland
Another brilliant video guys. Megan, you are a champion! Brilliant video work and we are so grateful that you are happy to film all of this content for us. I will most likely never get to Joe Nall as it's quite a distance from where I am here in Australia but thanks to you guys, I can enjoy the event anyhow. Again, great work Team Phillips. p.s. As a genuine 'aviation nut', I always enjoy the images from your flight on the full size aircraft. Cheers.
I'm glad you enjoyed the FULL SCALE videos. I just love planes ;) and can't resist the temptation to film them working, and plus if the thing crashes, at least we'll have some cool footage - LOL, but seriously, Glad we could make you smile!!! Thanks for being here!
I’m only 12m in… and I can conclude: Great job, both of you! Especially Meagan’s camera work - she’s among the best on the Tube! Keep it coming, please. 😊
Great coverage Brian .I want to get out out there some day in some year . I'll just stay home and fly my foamies. And a lot of thanks to you Brian and camera crew ! Been with you guys for 4 solid years please keep doing what your doing
Well-done guys another smashing video great coverage awesome to see you two do another 110% video on joe nall and can't wait for the next one cheers Rick
You should! Amazing experience!!! Wonderful atmosphere, and AMAZING RC performances that don't stop, unless mother nature gives us the smack down...which she did a couple times on this trip ;)
Hello à Vous !! Magnifique job de vous deux bravo la vidéo est digne d'un très bon reportage continuez nous Aimons vraiment !!! A+ Stéphane de FRANCE .....
Thanks, I was like...NOPE, not crashing Rick's $3000+ Heli...I could have done it, but the risk vs reward was off the scales for RISK ;) NOW, if I had SAFE on there, which I would if it were mine, then I could have just taken off in SAFE and then got a "few mistakes" high, then given her heck, but Rick is very trusting, and I couldn't bring myself to crash that beauty!!!
Great job videoing all that guys! I tried to get some video for my channel but just didn't feel like holding a camera for very long lol. It was awesome to meet you both!
Thanks Saul! It was very nice to see you again, and get the run down on happenings at Triple Tree - that's one of our favorite parts of the trip! It was nice to spend some more time with you on this, our second trip to Nall! Maybe if we can get a few more "viral videos" I can quit my day job and we'd be able to do Nall in the Fall some day??? ;)
Brian probably won't see this but he was talking about how good some of these young pilots are. I was just watching another video before this talking about "How does Brian do it?" While trying to take off the 1.5M Mustang. We're all at our own level and we can only really compare ourselves to how we were the day before.
Yes, so true - It is amazing to see these kids flying planes that cost as much as a family car (used, maybe, but still!). I imagine my own 6 year old, and while he can technically fly RC planes, it's kinda like a high supervision activity, and only with simple planes, like Eachine Warbirds or that sort of plane. Now, my 14 year old boy can fly pretty good, but still not going to compete in any competitions. Thanks for being here with us!
Ey Guys! Great work as allways, your Nall24 video is the best I've seen by far! (The eventpeople should probably pay for your trip!🤣) If you get a chance to visit a German airshow, take it, they don't kid around!! Hope to see you there someday! Greets from the Netherlands!
Your always welcome to SC Garrett! Again, congrats on your milestone of gratuating High School this year. Wish you all the best moving forward my friend. Brad
Hi Brian, Love your Channel, thanks SO much for everything both of you do! My name is George Gesualdi and I'm planning a trip to Nall in May of 2025. My wife's niece lives in Georgia about 1.5 hours away from the Venue. Would you advise renting a motor home and staying at Nall for 2 or 3 days or renting a car and staying at a hotel near by? Just looking for some suggestion's, thanks Brian and the BEST Camera Crew RU-vid! :) PS-Sorry to keep Living Vicariously thru you Brian! :)
Brian do they have a designated area for helicopters even though Nall is pretty much 100% fixed wing. Just curious I’ve never been but I do want to attend IRCHA and this event. Mad props to all these great pilots, loved the video keep up the great work as always
YES, it's right when you first pull into Triple Tree. They actually crashed a jet up there, but there wasn't a lot of heli folks out this year for some strange reason. I can say, most of the visitors seem to be into fixed wing, or at least that's the impression I get.
We saw the usual suspects on the main line, and they are beautiful!!! As for full scale, I didn't pay close enough attention, but should have! The BIG hangar houses a few full scale planes.
More importantly this showed up in my feed and I was not subbed??? Wonder if anyone else has seen that. Looked like YT un-subbed me! Video is awesome BTW :)
I skipped a few years and finally returned this year! Man, you don't realize how good it is until your back. The camping, eating, camp fires, the smell of fuel, the smoke, the night flights. The people are just so damn humble here as well.
We didn't really go there...except to visit the BuddyRC tent for a brief moment (to see Dan), and to go to the nice bathrooms, we kinda pass through. We aren't really there to shop, but a lot of people DO go for that purpose. We're there to meet our audience and network with people and love doing it - that is out primary goal of going to Joe Nall. Thanks for asking!
We sure did! I didn't and don't really plan to buy anything at Nall, since we fly in commercially, it might potentially be a huge nightmare to get the products home ;( BUT, in time, Megan and I would love to get a 5th wheel or RV so we can drive down with the family and enjoy the experience that way, rather than flying down. Not sure yet, but to be honest, that'll be a few years down the road. I refuse to get an RV or 5th wheel trailer before I have a place to over-winter it inside...so it'll be at least until we get the "cold storage" portion of our "Dam Gift Shop" built before we'd even consider it. So...maybe 2-3 years depending on a variety of other somewhat unrelated factors. Thanks for the comment, and glad you're with us!
Those ngs are like 4500 built....trippl 7 servos da 120 or even if theyre 40 percent w 170 or 200 theyre still around 5 to 7k on the high end if made by carf....u can do flex or skywing or extreme flight amd come in under 5k all day
Nice video. Why don't you pick out one of the planes that you have and fly it every day, practicing 3D and whatever else you want to do. Lean some tricks. Practice them on the Flight sim when it's raining, then on your model. It's fun. You can come back to Joe Nall next year, and maybe bring a plane too.
Dear Brian, I have a question. I have never flown before, but I have always loved RC planes, so I started looking for a plane that suited me and in the end I was helped well by an employee and I gained my experience on a Carbon Cub S2, I fly this plane both with safe and without safe optimally, so I want another plane and fly with it for about 4 months, everything is going well. So I'm no longer a beginner in my opinion :) I have 2 aircraft in mind, 1 of which is the Draco 2.0m and the other is carbon Z Trojan T-28, which of the 2 would you choose after the carbon Cub S2? please help!! :)))
If you didn't shoot take off and landing and knew you were sitting at that seat in clear view of the wing.... If I knew you were sitting there and didn't get video... I would've been like, Brian might be going Hollywood on us
Why does everyone have so much more extra cash than I have. 😢 Are yall out there doing breaking bad stuff WTH 😮 40k 20k planes. What do they do for a living?
A lot of the guys flying the $30-40K planes are sponsored and/or part of a corporate team, but there are plenty of independent folks with cash...they have businesses, high demand skills, etc - one guy, who owns the F-14, we featured in our video, evidently runs one of the largest steel companies in India, or at least we were told this. Some guys are just living in a van down by the river, so they can afford to fly these planes...seriously, come to Nall, you can see them - they're in a VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!!!!! ;) (or a $450,000 RV down by the river, either way - LOL)
A friend at local club maxed out his credit card to buy his RC stuff, he works with minimum wages. He doesn't mind paying the interest as long as he's happy flying.
Brian I'd rather see you at home flying your airplanes tol me it's a lot more. I know you and camera crew had been looking forward to a vacation but I'm looking forward to seeing you fly again at home have they got your damn completed yet
How much does it cost for Luca to fly his planes to an event? One thing that makes it easier to learn is if you can afford to crash without feeling like you got kicked in the nuts.
